It depends on the quality of the mushrooms. in Sri Lanka of course we have to wash mushrooms because it comes with lots of dirt sometimes, and we can not trust their quality, unfortunately. but in foreign countries, 99% never wash mushrooms. because it's gonna lose its flavor and texture too. If any chef sees you washing your mushrooms, it's like a criminal over there. Telling you by my own experiences.
