The Flanders Blues is basically just what they called PTSD due to the war back then. In Arthur’s case specifically it’s depression.
18:42 You guys are precious 😂 it took so long for the “joke” to land lol
18:12 WHADIDHESAYYY
Had to pause so I could laugh for like 10 minutes 😂😂😂😂
They weren’t mining🤦🏽♂️ lol
LMAO the joke at around 18 mins in.... y'all wild for that 🤣
"Tommy be wildin sometimes"
Boy howdy, you don't know the half of it lmao
THISSSSS, my GOD.
Royal Engineer tunneling companies (within the British Army) dug attacking tunnels under enemy lines during the First World War. "The stalemate situation in the early part of the war led to the deployment of tunnel warfare. After the first German Empire attacks on 21 December 1914, through shallow tunnels underneath no man's land and exploding ten mines under the trenches of the Indian Sirhind Brigade, the British began forming suitable units." They would try to tunnel to get behind enemy lines and set mines to explode under the enemies, basically.
Loved this show, so happy you guys are loving it too. Side note, Rob looked adorable when he got flustered after that joke🖤
I find the dynamic between Tommy and Freddie interesting. I don't think they fell out exactly but grew apart and don't really agree on each others' ways of life. It seems they both have resentment towards "the establishment" after fighting in the war and putting their lives at risk for the crown and the country and then see all the inequality around them (and all the lives lost during the war). They just reacted to that differently. Freddie is an idealist and optimist who thinks he can change the system. Tommy thinks he has to "play the game" and gain power within the system they have, thinking Freddie's ideals are a lost cause.
Also, I love the scene where Tommy asks Grace to go with Billy Kimber. He doesn't say it but for a fleeting second he looks so ashamed to ask Grace to do something like that. Top tier acting!
26:56 one of the realest lines in tv history
If you've seen "The Last Kingdom", Kimber's advisor is King Alfred. The actor who plays Billy Kimber has been in lots and lots of stuff in little parts, but you might know him from 'The Fifth Element' where he plays 'David', the assistant priest to the main priest in the movie.
You guys have become my favourite react channel, can’t wait for the future films and shows!!
The best part of these reactions are your English accents, well done lads! 😂
23:48 zuff is NOT serious 😭😭😭😭
he's hilarious bruh
13:30 the British soldiers would charge the trenches against machine gun fire, almost certain death but the commanders continued to order it to gain even small amounts of land
"Tommy is going on a date with Grace"
Sure, a date. 👀
cmon, "she has a clap"
btw, there was a serious part of brainrot discussion how Grace actually did have a clap...

Mr. Roberts (Kimber’s advisor) is in The Last Kingdom as King Alfred. It’s a fantastic viking series that portrays the making of a nation (England), with epic battles, and the story of a man who has to learn to survive as a Saxon nobleman who is captured as a child and raised by the Danes.
10:53 *Dalton Mills* in *Keighley, Bradford.*
23:31 *King's Hall and Winter Garden* in *Ilkley, Bradford.*
The Communist Party was almost brand new back then, formed in 1920 inspired by the Bolshevik revolution in Russia led by Lenin and Trotsky. They wanted a workers' revolution and to join an international federation of socialist states.
I don’t know why but I wasn’t expecting some of the fights to be so brutal In this show like the ear scene I do like it tho great reaction
Enjoying the reactions, this is such a good show
in that tight little hole is FUCKING CRAZY 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 my stomach hurts brrruuuhhhhhh
5:55 that was unironically impressive, good job, sir
I know David Dawson (the accountant) has been in many things but I know him from My Policeman.
The advisor is in The Last Kingdom which is a great show.
Guys, we need to get them to react to Baby Raindeer. (Great reaction as always, btw
Kimbers advisor was king Alfred in The Last Kingdom
The Inspector didn't fight in France because he was busy working for what would much later become MI6, or British secret Intelligence service.
By "weeding out" unwanted elements at home, he was spared the frontlines, and as such is seen as a coward by everyone that went, because he has the age that would have put him as a soldier in france.
And the ear thing is interesting. Most young blood will nver know this, but it harks back to ancient times. "You trespassed against my area and my people. I now demand a pound of flesh"
If you are looking for another series that will probably blow up on Netflix now it’s Kin. Irish gang drama - which was also ok the BBC
Thanks, Bryce! Thanks, Rob! Thanks, Zuff! 🩸
