Safe Sets 1

Dancers filled Halla na Feothanaí near Dingle, Co Kerry, for this high-energy "Safe Sets" ceili with music by Peter Staunton, Kyle Macauley, Cormac Ó Beaglaoich, Niall Ó Beaglaoich and Eoin Ó Beaglaoich. The caller was Angela Griffin. The safe sets in the first half consisted of the Kilfenora (3:40), Sliabh Luachra (28:10), Merchant (51:55) and Clare Lancers (1:11:40), plus a slow waltz just before the break. On entry dancers were provided with a dance card with space on one side to record your eight partners, and a list of rules to be followed on the reverse. T-shirts were also for sale with the message "I had safe sets in Dingle."
