Yeah ur offering to fix it, but, dude wants u to replace a part he lost??
Hell naw stand ur ground bro
But they had previously repaired the crown meaning their repair was probably the cause of it falling off no ?
@@bobmarley2140 not at all. There is a very good likelihood that the customer didn’t have the crown screwed in-which is required for the watch to be water resistant. If he ever went to change the time or date after Trax gave him the watch and didn’t screw the crown back in- it is user error and not Trax’s fault. The crown could have and most likely fell off because the stem that holds it probably rusted when water flooded into the watch. Because the crown wasn’t screwed in-once the rust works its way through the stem-the crown would just fall off.
@@jeffv3296I was thinking the same. Probably did that. Forgot to screw back de crown.
Just buy a new super clone Rolex for $650. You can’t tell the difference.

Not a good look. If the crown was fixed 3 weeks ago it should not have fallen off even if it was in the water. That means it wasn’t repaired correctly. Correct!
How if it passed the test?😂
@@user-kp7xu1cd8kThe test is with the crown screwed in obviously 🤦🏼♂️
@@user-kp7xu1cd8k the pressure test is done with the crown screwed in. You need to unscrew a crown to wind the watch if needed or set the time/date. Some people forget to screw it in after and it ends up with issues like this
@@user-kp7xu1cd8kthe customer unscrewed it after the test to wind, adjust time or just play with it, then forgot to screw it back down. how do you not understand that? the crown is the little knob on the side. you obviously think it's something else.
That’s a reason to buy from Rolex directly. A friend of mine bought a Rolex, went into the ocean and it broke. Rolex immediately apologized and replaced the watch, since it didn’t withstand the things advertised.
In things that didn't happen.....
Not everyone can buy from Rolex, not everyone can afford to buy from Rolex and if you think Rolex fixes damage that is obvious a human had to have interfered with, then I don't know what to tell you.
Exactly! I absolutely actually agree with you! All this aftermarket stuff isnt that safe Bro! If Rolex made it that way, thats the way you leave it period
It was probably a submariner. Not all Rolex’s are meant to withstand you being in water and partying like a idiot
@@MikeeJoness956 A submariner is literally made for divers! Its a divers watch! If any are water resistant its that one! >;)))
@@DD23-1 that’s exactly what I meant bro if you can read correctly 😂😂😁😁🙃🙃
Overusing a watch in water? Bro wasnt deep diving to 300 meters. Also I just had my crown replaced by Rolex. It was $50...
Yeah the crown was $50 but because he’s not screwed the crown in going into the water the whole watch is damaged, so you think they should fix the internals and the crown for $50? It’s like leaving the oil cap unscrewed on your car after buying it then going back to the dealer expecting them to put a new engine in it for the price of the oil cap. This guy is just lying because he probably can’t afford a Rolex within a sensible budget and now he’s shitting himself because his bad investments gone because of HIS error.
@@TomEvans-jf2vrpretty decent analogy lol
@@TomEvans-jf2vr They should replace his car.
all his employees even talk like Max now lmao
But I mean if it's water proof you gotta be able to use it in the pool and move it under the water. Nobody will just dip it in water carefully.
This is literally the same as leaving his oil cap loose on his car, driving it, then expecting the dealer to replace the engine because of HIS error. Doesn’t matter if leaving the crown loose is easily done, it’s still his error whether it’s big or small.
150% you did the right thing, if he doesn't respond correct that is on him bro. TRAXNYC came correct through you my friend big ups for your patience...
Sounded fair. We'll sort it, just bring the full peice we sold you.
But honestly, if one spends that type of money on a watch, i wouldn't risk putting it in water. Nah. Staying far away from pools.
they're designed to be used by divers. that's like driving a ferrari but scared to take it on the highway
Not for nothing. I have a couple of timepieces, and all my watches were waterproof. I don't have any problem going up tob40 feet with any of my four-day dates or my date just or my speed master reduced, yacht master 40.
Rolex, Omega, Audermar Piglet, and Vacheron Constantine are all waterproofing up to reasonable non-diving circumstances.
Watches are men's to be used by regular people who can go into the pool and wash their hands without worrying about them after getting into the watch.
That is why they come with rubber gaskets and are placed in an air-tight chamber that determines if the watch has been sealed problems when servicing.
Depends on the watch. But they mentioned its been pressure tested so if the crown was screwed in properly then it will have no issues. Its obvious he either broke the crown before then went in water like a idiot or he never screwed the crown in. Its basic stuff
That’s totally irrelevant because Rolexes are made to enter deep waters
@@letsgotoe2toeAftermarket watches aren’t supposed to be used in water
He expected it to get free for fix? Sounds reasonable.

Ok Tom
A black guy totally commented this
Don’t buy second hand, you’re buying someone else’s mistake.
I wouldnt trust an aftermarket iced out rolex in the water period!!!!!! Mines plain jane and i still avoid the water. Lol
The watch was probably purchased using illegal funds anyway. The customer can barely speak the English language, therefore the only employment opportunities are D dealer or rapper
Anyone putting a luxury watch in water is a fool. Regardless of claims of being waterproof
I never go swimming with my jewelry because pools contain chlorine which can change the color of your jewelry and do a lot of damage plus you got to consider pressure he destroyed his own watch in my opinion he does not deserve to have a warranty anymore 😒
You should never wear any precious metal in a chlorinated pool. Chlorine if strong enough can literally eat away at the metal and even if it’s not strong enough to eat the metal-it can have a cumulative effect over time. I was in the jewelry business for 28 years, and I found that the jewelry of people that would wear their stuff in pools would be very brittle. Chlorine is a harsh agent and I wouldn’t be surprised if it affected metals molecularly.
A real rolex would never have a problem with water.
The repairs weren't done properly and it wasn't even tested properly.
@@Marsalien100 There is just a rubber gasket keeping the water out, same as any other watch brand. And if he didn't secure the crown as alleged then that will allow water straight in too.
If it’s fake it will change color lol
It’s even harder to explain to and idiot about jewelry
If Someone tells me I’m gunna fix his shit.
%100 I’m not fixing his shit
Ego is your undoing
Water should not take off the crown that easily, especially if this a loyal customer, u should replace it
A crown shouldn't just fall off if it was a repaired correctly and not even a month later?????
quick tip for the cameraman. Ur aperture us way to open. The number needs to be higher so the aperture gets closed more. this changes the angle of the light getting onto the sensor. Then you wont be having this much trouble with blurred shots, because the range of sharp objects is bigger. look it up. good job filming still.
Was it tested after they repaired the crown or the first time the crown was put on before it broke?
I hope this is a lesson for him. Don't buy garbage from anywhere. The Crown constantly falling off is why you go directly to Rolex. From time to time, you may forget to screw the crown down but guess what? It will not fall off unless you directly apply pressure or you're a careless individual. Rolex is meant to be overused; there is a model for all walks of life, but still, it's sturdy mechanics.

If the watch was pressure tested it shouldn’t have came off in the first place. If he got it fixed by y’all and the crown came off in the pool sounds like it was y’all that messed up the repair and didn’t seal it correctly
Not necessarily. Rolexes have screw down crowns. The crown literally screws down into what is known as the tube. A Rolex will only hold pressure and water resistance if the crown is sufficiently screwed down. If the owner ever changed the time or date on the watch and didn’t screw it all of the way back in-the watch wouldnt be water resistant. If he then takes it in a pool-water floods into the watch-and the first part of the watch that will rust is the stem-the part that holds the crown. It’s very likely that the crown fell off because water rushed into the watch, rusted out the stem-and because the customer didn’t have the crown screwed in-the crown just fell off.
Tell me you know nothing about watches without telling me, buddy the crown doesn’t just fall off, everything else u said is correct but for the crown to fall off after let’s say two hours in water is udder bs. It takes a long time for metal to be submerged before it corrodes so they did not do a correct repair.
If the watch was pressure tested correctly it shouldn’t of had come off & should have withstood the water exposure. You guys guaranteed your pressure testing service & it did not hold up, so that should not be the clients fault.
@@FudgyBabyyyy this is not true. A pressure test proves that the watch is water resistant at the time the test was done (at the time it was given back to the client). If the stem/crown was not properly installed or wasn’t screwed all the way in-it would have failed the pressure test. The fact that the customer left with a watch that passed the pressure test-but weeks/months later came back with the crown missing and water inside of the watch makes it far more likely that the customer went to set the time/date on the watch after he took possession of the watch and didn’t screw the crown back in. For Rolexes-there are 3 points of water entry-the caseback which has a rubber gasket, the crystal (the front glass which also has a plasticized rubber gasket) and the stem/crown-which needs to be screwed in all of the way for the watch to be water resistant. The watch would not pass pressure if the crystal gasket was bad, the watch would not pass pressure if the back gasket was bad, and the watch would not pass pressure if the crown was was installed incorrectly or it wasn’t screwed in. The fact that it passed pressure shows that the gaskets were good and that the watch is water resistant when the crown is screwed in all of the way. Most likely the client didn’t screw it in all of the way-took it in the pool-water flooded in and rusted the stem (the thin needle like piece of metal that holds the crown)-and the stem rusted which is why the crown fell off. If the crown was screwed in-it would still be on the watch with a rusted stem as you would physically have to screw it off to remove it. The missing crown is effectively proof that it wasn’t screwed in.
It's like anything else. You buy a luxury car or truck, you better be able to maintain it through its entirety. That goes for anything. Luxury watches and jewelry don't last forever bro. Maintenance will need to be done. If you can't afford to maintain your luxury item, than don't purchase it in the first place. It's like being a Ferrari and can't can't afford to put gas in it?. Come on bro.
The trax worker said that customers always lie if he’s a repeat customer why not replace the part instead you call him a liar it’s obvious the piece came off it shouldn’t if you guys think all your customers are liars then people shouldn’t shop there it’s better to go to Rolex directly

I wish we could have shown the water damage , it wasn’t normal, after 2/3 months he brings it to us with in normal damage, he must have not took precaution with screwing the crown properly
What model was it that it can’t stand the pressure from a pool
It’s not about the model more so the negligence from the client in not securing his crown correctly before he went swimming
Moral of the story. . .buy a G-Shock for swimming. $100 and job done 👊🤣
3:10 Showing people respect is very importance.
That's why you need to buy directly from Rolex instead of a second-hand jewelery shop.
How can you over use a watch in the water. Unless you are going beyond the water proof depth Which was definitely not the case here. We all know what happened here. This is what happens when you buy a watch outside of the authorized dealer. Split the cost with this man and take down this video before the uninitiated begin to realize what really happened here 🐉
If the crown was missing before swimming, then the damage is on the client for not checking the watch before swimming. At the same time the client shouldn't have had to worry that the crown is missing if it was a proper Rolex. The client stating that he had the crown repaired a month ago shows that the client isn't careful with his watch in the first place. There are a few ways to break the crown and stem of a watch, and all of those ways involve negligence. This is a hard call and good on TraxNYC for doing the repair either way.

As a jeweler, after seeing the customer's behavior, I would choose to buy the watch back from him as it is. I would give him back the money of the purchase price he paid. I thank him and wait for the next time he comes. Customers who do not take responsibility for their actions are not the customers you want in the store, they will continue the American exploitation behavior. The customer is always right, this is only in an imaginary utopian world. The amount of lies that customers tell can write a whole book. Therefore, with a conciliatory look, I would buy the watch back from him and let him go. (By the way, I don't believe that the client would have agreed, because he knows he will lose.) For such a client to come aggressively with anger and threatening body language, this shows weakness, so arguing with him is pointless and scares other clients at the same time. good day team NY.
