From someone whos had a build with a 94 driving dunk for a month now, I can say its not nearly as OP as it is last year. Its really good when the defender is on your hip or not in the right position but you cant just dunk on someone sitting paint anymore. I hope they make dunk meter even better because just like how people with high strength can back people down, I AS A SLASHER should be able to dunk on people with low Interior D such as guards.
I do like the toned down dunks but as someone who has gold precision, 94 dunk, 82 vert, posterizer gold, the green window is still extremely small at times and needs to be looked at again. Don’t get me wrong if someone’s late, behind you, or on your side the green window is huge. My problem is when someone is just sitting paint or you take off from free throw the window is non existent even with finishing take. Bigs gotta be punished for sitting paint. I understand if they jump but just sitting there should be a big window. It’s already hard enough to time with all the latency and lag in the game. Another thing is you miss green dunks which I don’t understand why. If I timed it, it should go in. You don’t miss green shots so green dunks shouldn’t miss either.

The meter is only big on dunks that your basically wide open but the only way you're going to those dunk animations is if you use the dunk meter. They just made it to where instead of pressing square or X when you're open, you have to use the meter to get the best animations and they just pull in the defender.
What i will NEVER understand is why when shooters have shooting take.. its IMPOSSIBLE to miss 3's. But when you have finishing take the dunk meter never changes... it should be a significant difference like 2k23 was... whats the point of finishing take if it doesnt help one of the more difficult things to do in the game (dunk meter)

Yea I’ve noticed this too, whenever u have an open lane but the defender might be close by it’s better to try to meter it cuz ur green window will be way bigger rather than trying to dunk on someone on ur hip like how last year was

The layup meter is broken. They’ll change your green window and automatically change your layup animations for you. Plus there are animations that don’t make the meter pop up
I was just speaking on this I used be able to green at least 75% layups but now I can’t green window my layups but they’re not even going in as much at this point and they shrink when someone gets near or behind you when you are going up

they should make it so that the dunk meter green window varies (like the green window on your jumpshot).. If he’s sitting in the paint the window should be medium/big (depend on the inter. D. and block attributes of the guy and its size) but if someone come to help him, the green window shrinks
I use to have a 3pt shot hunter, but the way all these patches keep changing my shot i went to slasher build. I couldn't be happier to dunk on my opponent and watch the rest of the community struggle with hitting 3's.

It’s not a hard ask to differentiate the dunk meter green window depending on the interior defense on the defender. Past 2k’s have at least done that. Yall moving backwards

Using the meter is always more satisfying and fun but it’s borderline pointless for the average player because you don’t need to meter when you have the open lanes you’ll get a dunk anyway with less risk of missing. I don’t really get the idea of how they want it to be especially considered how insane contact standing meter dunks are it’s the exact opposite

After this 2k I don’t think I’ll buy another one and this is coming from someone who hit lvl 40 4-5 days after 2k23 dropped, I can’t shoot, the builder is horrible, gameplay dry ash, there are people in real life that can do dunk shoot dribble and defend, but instead they nerf the builder for players that are just horrible at the game, this game will never be fun again
The game aint balanced tho defense is way better than offense. Badge is nothing but a sweat the game is too hard for us casuals I've played 2k since 2k5 this shit is awful
