In unreal engine … you can just copy the folder from the Synty demo project’s content folder and paste it in the content folder of your project. You are looking for a folder name that’s usually based on the kit. Like Polygon_Apocalypse as an example.
Thanks for the feedback. The team are aware of the limitation when purchasing through the Synty store and are investigating further. Nothing to share at this point.
Glad to find an engine-agnostic asset store. After the Unity crisis, I'm trying to take a swing at making my own game engine, but I've considered making voxel assets before. How hard is it for others to sell assets on your store?
We recently had a soft launch of the Polygon City pack for Godot. We're in the process of gathering feedback on this pack to help plan any further ports. The Godot version is available in the downloads of Polygon City on the Synty Store syntystore.com/products/polygon-city-pack
Can somebody please clarify, what's the point of this tool? Why not simply drag the already downloaded pack into Unity? 🤔 I would understand if this tool could somehow synchronize with my account at Synty store and let me download packs directly from there (something like a tiny Asset Manager for SyntyStore specifically).
We appreciate the feedback. Regarding the purpose of the pack, you 100% can just drag in a .unitypackage straight in to your project. But if you want to import 5-10 packs to import your project, this tool will let you tick them all and just hit import and will run through each pack for you. It's also not limited to just Synty assets, it works with any .unitypackage file so would allow you to run a local version of the package manager on your machine. Importing it in to your project and setting the folder is a pretty quick task vs importing a bunch of packs manually. It's just an optional tool that can help speed things up for anyone who wants to use it :)
A similar tool for unreal or godot would be great
Yea, now godot, the news so bad for Unity 😢

it's annoying to have to redownload packs when new updates come out

Hello, It would be great to import and use Synty assets with godot as well, as unity is dying slowly (or not so slowly)
We hear you and we appreciate the feedback. These are things we're looking in to further :)
Make a Godot version of your packs and be ready to receive tons of money! With the new huge wave going from unity to godot
We're currently looking in to how we can better support Godot, but nothing to share at this point.
@@syntystudios thanks so much! you guys are amazing
I never thought this would be a thing and I was okay with that.

Recent news make this comment even more actual

Everything available on the Synty Store is produced by us. There's no third party publisher assets available there.

This is something we're aware of, you can find the issue on the GitHub page. github.com/SyntyStudios/synty-store-importer-unity/issues/3

This is just an extra step to import something.
