    Thanks, Chef AJ. Gingerbread is one of my all time favorites. Just taking them out of the oven now. Tasted these and they're a hit.

    I made these while watching Chef AJ make them with the addition of an extra 1/2 Tbsp of ginger. They are delicious! Hubby has requested that I always keep some on hand.🙂

    I just made these and so delicious! I used molasses syrup in place of the date syrup. I already had it on hand. Your tip to divide into 16 pieces before rolling into balls made it easy. I will be making these again. Thank you Chef AJ!

    Question: Can you use molasses? What are your thoughts on this instead of date paste? Thanks!

    • @CHEFAJ
      @CHEFAJ  3 роки тому +1

      I prefer date paste as it is made from a whole food

    I haven't watched your videos for a long time but this video popped up, I thought it looked yummy so I gave it a watch. I have to say that you seem a lot more calm and relaxed than I remember, and thanks for introducing me to date syrup. I also came across date sugar when looking for the syrup.

    Two questions: why not use molasses? (Is there some benefit to date syrup over molasses?) And when you say, I turn it, do you mean flip them over halfway through? Or are you rotating the tray?

    • @JulietteSasek
      @JulietteSasek 3 роки тому +2

      The only thing I can think of is date syrup is less processed than molasses and therefore more nutritious. When she says I turn it, she’s talking about flipping themover halfway through.

    • @CHEFAJ
      @CHEFAJ  3 роки тому +1

      Flip them over half way

    I don’t trust cooking on silicone. Or aluminum. Paper is at least biodegradable 😉

    Can we substitute vanilla extract for the powder?

    • @CHEFAJ
      @CHEFAJ  3 роки тому +1

      That should be fine...you can always add a small bit more oats to counteract the additional liquid or use a tsp. less date syrup

    I'm so nervous on committing to WFPB eating!

    • @kefirheals7383
      @kefirheals7383 3 роки тому +1

      Why not try swapping out one meal at a time. Try just going WFPB for breakfast for a while, and see if you like it, and if it agrees with you. If it does, move on to swapping one or two lunches a week. If that seems okay, swap three lunches. Then do it with dinner. I find that I'm usually okay with breakfast and lunch. Dinner gives me the most troubles, only because my husband does is not all in with WFPB. So, then I still have to cook his meat and then he'll eat whatever I'm having as a side. Good luck.

    Hi Chef AJ😊.
    I know you are Jewish. Just wanted to ask you, does "Bet Arukah" make proper sense (as house of healing/restoration) the way it is put together?
    Thank you in advance!😊

    • @levykeren962
      @levykeren962 3 роки тому +1

      Yes. Arucha (ארוכה) means healing.
