The Philippines has reported the presence of Chinese vessels near its warships participating in the annual "Balikatan" military exercises with the United States and France in the South China Sea
The exercises, which concluded on April 29, aimed to enhance the interoperability of the participating navies.

The government is in a maximum tolerance in exercising our rights in WPS. The best contribution of nitizens is to share to their friends and loveones specially those who are in abroad in order for us to gain support from international community. We are respecting freedom of navigation based on international law and we are just exercising our sovereign rights based on UNCLOS.

It seems that the Balikatan Exercise is plainly good for show because China is still around bravely & freely roaming at WPS. What gives?
Balikatan is an exercise for readiness and strengthen alliance and cooperation not to intimidate any opposing country.
