The key is however with Jones, to whom Jack owes a debt of 100years serving on the Flying Dutchman, so it makes no sense for him to go after the key. What he needs is someone esle to find the key for him, then to find the chest, after which he can free himself from the debt.

I love how the crew when Turner recommended loading the rum, they all were like "You F'ing serious? You're gonna go along with that and use our precious rum as munitions?" Then the scenes afterwards where they are griping over it was absolutely hilarious.
