Welcome to my first long form video 🎉
It shows the bath time of my Sister Cindy, the 29 year old rescue baboon 👵
She has a bath a few times a year to help keep her fresh and she always loves the experience and pampering 💅🏻
This is the first one she has had since she went blind in November 2023, so me and my Mother help guide her into the bathroom and get her in the tub.

She probably has arthritis and it's painful to move. Thank you for loving her so patiently.

The fact that dear Cindy always wants to be in contact with Ruben is so precious, especially her reaching for his touch at the end. What an amazing career amid glorious nature and wonderful animals, though still, at the end, Cindy shows she's still the matriarch elder in charge!, haha.

I really enjoyed this video Ruben. Your Mum is so pretty. I especially enjoyed the first video I saw when you explained about how Cindy came to be in the care of your family and how naughty she was. Your Mum must have had such patience! It will indeed be a very sad day when Cindy passes, but she will have had the most special life and we will all remember that.

Would she ride in something that was low and on wheels that you didn't have to lift her onto so she wouldn't have to walk as far or maybe have a tub outside?
We have Rubbermaid troughs in different sizes we can use for our horses and they have a drain and are quite lightweight so they can be moved and stored easily. Maybe something like one of those would work.
Cindy is so beautiful and you and your Mom are such good and patient carers. I know that she is still a wild animal and I imagine still very strong and that she can be aggressive at times, but it is easy to tell that she considers you her family group and feels secure with you both.

Interesting thought about her riding in something, I'm not sure she would like it and it's tricky getting hot water outside but a good thought though! Thank you so much
I was also thinking of a bath outside for Cindy as this would reduce her walking & therefore reduce her pain. Rather than having to lift her into a bath, would it be possible to pore warm water over her 😊

Yes, arthritis sets and ee and animals. I know, I have it. Resting is important. She is so blessed that your family adopted her. People say wild animals cannot be trained. This proves they can, and Cindy and your family really are good together
Yet he still respects that she IS a wild animal. He knows what she will, or will not tolerate. He knows her well 🌞
