I don't know about an artillery shell, but when a bonfire at our friends house spread into the long grass my boyfriend stomped out knee high flames wearing his and their was hardly a mark on them. They withstood the heat and flames better than his combat boots.
Kevin Nguyen From what i can tell sometime in the last few decades the manufacturing process of jeans changed. A new more efficient and cheaper method was invented to cut down costs. The looms that were used before were sold off abroad, mostly to Japan. Now the Japanese have reinvented the traditional method of creating denim. The quality is much better than modern denim, but not all quality denim comes from Japan. There are denim companies in the US and Italy that create the traditional selvedge high quality denim too.
+H Mirza white oak cone mills in Greensboro, NC, is the last raw selvedge denim in the US to produce the garment. Before Levi's took production overseas, they were partnered for atleast over 100 years. They re-partnered again. But they used the old methods and I believe you can't buy new machines anymore, the technicians/maintenance guys working at cone mills are between 50-80years old.
@@rza1m Japanese Denim Manufacturers do not use American Looms. They use Toyoda Looms (Toyoda is the founder of Toyota Motors) first build in 1920's. Of course, Jeans making is influenced by Americans. And there were a few sold to Japanese manufacturers. However, they have superior looms that they've been using since the days of "Kimono". And so as they learned the developing process, they no longer needed an American Looms.
I got a pair of weird guys since I'm a fan of "tapered" fit denim, these jeans might as well be straight leg, not tapered AT ALL, i took them to work and the crotch was so badly tailored my nuts got squished! Never getting n&f again unless they stop making some of the worst fitting jeans out there, APC all the way!

Those jeans look like they will absorb the impact of an artillery shell, or a tactical nuke if it happens to hit the leather patch.

theyre low rise jeans. youre not supposed to wear them up too high on your waist. you should have tried the skinny guy or super skinny.
