- The Chicago Bulls completed a trade on 7.6.24 with the Sacramento Kings that sent 6-time All-Star DeMar DeRozan to the Kings for SG Chris Duarte, 2 2nd round picks, and cash.
DeRozan, a 2-time All-Star with Chicago, was involved in a sign-and-trade deal that was for 3-years, $71mil.
DeRozan averaged 25.5 PPG the last three seasons with Chicago, along with a 2-time all-star, top-3 Clutch player of the year finalist, and multiple playoff runs.
The Bulls get Chris Duarte, a 6'5 shooting guard who was the 13th overall pick by the Indiana Pacers back in 2021.

This dude more delusional than the bulls front office😂😂😂
😂
Thank you for everything, DeMar!
Lastly I believe DEMAR was one of the best offensive clutch guys I have witnessed here in Chicago. I loved his attitude and he is just a classy and professional person and his craft is still one of the tops! Thanks for all you did DEMAR for Chicago!!
Agreed!
Chet Walker, anyone?
I am glad you bulls fans are happy! We Sacramento fans are estatic. Let me explain why!The CBA commands you handle your payroll. De'Rozan is a walking bucket and free throw maker. They lost more games last year due to being last in the league in free throws. They now just need a power forward 3 and D shot blocker. They spent the right amount of money on 2 upgrades. Resigning Malik and this free agency signing of De'Mar is great! No way to the Portland trade. De'Mar is going to bring out the best in De'Aaron. This is a huge contract yr for Foxy. This lineup is now extremely multi-dimensional. It is going to be able to overcome first and foremost injuries, style of play and finally being able to closeout games!!! De'Mar does not like to miss games he is an iron man , even at his age of 34! He reminds me of a poor man's Michael Jordan or liken him to back in the days Mitch Richmond. Fox will miss games. We will now still be able to compete. De'Mar DeRozan is an Alpha Dawg! Give me the f..ken ball!!!
😎
@@jaguaw89 he's a walking bucket aight...for the other team... my guy plays no defense lol and he's not shooting 3s so it's double negative wait and see can you say "played"
@@BrandonKInc Harrison Barnes played Orange Cone defense and avg 12 pts, Sac is Happy.
@@Scarecrow367 I'm sure all 3 teams are happy it was a sign and trade it's agreeable by its nature he didn't have much value guy...no one was willing to pay him but them
Keep that same energy when he don’t pass the ball
Good luck DeMar!
The Bulls lost the trade miserably
Hoping it’s not the case
@@michaeloneill3797 what trade??? Realize that DeMar DeRozan was a free agent because we did not want to sign him lmao y'all did haha... We thought he was done still do good luck and good riddens but before ya go let me hold sumn
Is gonna be great to see Christ Duarte from D. R. playing in the United Center.
Great Content!!
Thanks Bulls, Chris Duarte could not even get off bench with the kings. The 2nd rounder are worth more you since the bulls are rebuilding. Good luck with brokedick Ball trying to get rid of him and his contract.
Ball robbed the bulls lol but mad at the same time
@@user-ij5uu5bm5u what make you think we wanted any of y'all scrubs lmao we wanted money and picks not y'all not good enough players we trying to get rid of that lol enjoy 😜
No win/lose, he was a FA! Getting any player, picks, money is a plus.
Now they have resources to package Vuc & Lavine for real talent & higher picks.
Bulls have too many guards. Might have to play three guard line ups.
Hoping they trade LaVine
Chris Duarte is absolute trash he was a salary dump and he's already 27 he shouldn't play one game for ,the bulls period
👀
Kings fan here. FYI: Chris Du-War-Tay. Don’t listen to hater Kings fans, watch recent highlights of Chris playing for Dominican Republic in Olympic qualifier. His team sucks but he’s spectacular. He’s also a good dude, but was a convenient scapegoat for sub-par season along with Harrison Barnes by Kings couch coaching “fans.”🙄
The bulls did not win the trade, stop it
We got something for nothing how is that not a win
@@mariowilliams9206 yeah but you got a garbage in Duarte and 2nd rd picks-that are not good and gleague bounds garbages...Kings won this trade big time and Bulls got fleeced!!
@@gheerock4077 Bulls win the trade, they just need to trade Lavine, Vuch and Lonzo before 2025 FA, then they would have big space on salary cap and can be more active
@@gheerock4077 bulls won space on 2025 salary cap. And it will still can be larger if they can trade lavine, Vuch and Lonzo in deadline day
@@gheerock4077Debo was a UFA! He could’ve walked for nothing, I’d say all sides won!
They did. I love Demar and everything he gave our team. But his presence stifled PWill's growth bc PWill was left to play out of position. Dude was already a better defender and 3pt shooter than Demar, before he got injured. And that was with him playing out of position.
The only thing I would say is that we got picks to sweeten the deal with a Zach trade
Good luck bub and God bless
One of the craziest things is to say someone's name the wrong way multiple times
😂
How you see OKC and Philly and still say that 😅 he must be a Bull 💯 % that’s right now championships talks not in 5 or 8 years
Thanks Dee Bo, we will miss you

King of the 4th
This front office is so incompetent that they need to go with all these deals that they've done so far not one first-round pick are you kidding me it's time for a clean sweep get rid of everybody right now to athletic trainer janitor everybody this is an incompetent group of people that don't know how to do their jobs in the meantime we're being laughed at as fans because of our team's leadership and they trade a way the only coach we had and that was damar
How did I know he’d be wearing Chicago Bulls gear ?
Love Chris Duarte he will add a lot of fire power to our depth. Rozan has been nothing but Top Notch for us and im sad to see him go but very excited for the coming future
😎🤝
Chris is legit 👌
Why Bulls won the trade?? Wtf you're serious!? No way you're serious. Bulls should've gotten at least a couple first rounders for an all star that can help put your team over the hump.
I dont think you understand how the cash considerations work. It doesn't go towards the cap, it doesn't go towards next years cap. Literally it goes in the teams pocket. The only way it can be used is by flipping it in this current year in a trade. So say you dump Lavine. No report on what the cash was. But let's say it's 2M dollars. The bulls can offset some of that Lavine contract by sending that 2M to whoever takes him. But it means nothing moving forward to the actual future of the Bulls.
As far as saying the Bulls won the trade? Meh. Getting anything out of Demar at this point is going to be a positive. Your organization completely botched not trading him last season. You actually lost a lot of value. Will be interesting to see what the next move for you guys is. Dumping Lavine seems like the logical choice, but no one wants him. Not even with the reports of a 1st round pick being attached to him.
Thanks for the insight!
Not too hung up about who won what trade. The number one thing is Bulls are moving in the direction of getting younger and that's what they did. They may not be a competitive team yet because they still want to finish in the draft lottery in order to keep their pick. Anything higher than ten and it goes to the Spurs.
Facts
This is a win but it was a very low bar for a guy who said he wasn’t coming back and I would have like to see the Bulls take on Harrison Barnes contract but the Bulls won’t add salary yet they gave VUC a THREE year $60M extension for what
DeMarr has a mid-range game and nothing else. Can't hit 3's and is a traffic cone on D. Gonna be 35 years old, too.
Don’t think you want “Deranty” as your starter
😂 rebuild
i do to keep the pick
Kings got a 6X All Star and 2X All NBA for Duarte, Barnes and two 2nd round draft picks. Duarte had his chances with Kings, but was too inconsistent.
Don't forget, Bulls also get some room in their 2025 salary cap. And it will still can be larger if they can trade lonzo, lavine and Vuch before 2025 FA
🤷♂️
Chris Duarte gonna have a comeback year! ..He got injured in his rookie year and wasn't the same but now he's recovered! 💯
we said the same thing when we got him in Sacramento... def was not the case
@@schnoahhe's the reason I'm finally done being positive on bums 😂
For what it's worth Duarte looked healthy and shot the ball well for the Dominican Republic in the 2024 Olympic Trials.
you’re kidding me right? strong rebuild? win trade?
the bulls are collecting trash and getting hosed as per usual.
we keep bringing in guys with bad wing spans who can’t shoot(matas, giddy). we got less for demar than the spurs who helped facilitate this trade. spurs got a 2031 pick swap out of it. the bulls got 2nd round picks. name all the 2nd round starters on top 4 teams.
you gotta stop hyping up trash like the bulls and justin fields. it ruins your credibility as an analyst.
AK is a horrible GM who loves euro trash and guys with short arms who can’t shoot.
Just look big picture dude, Spurs got 1rd picks swap to eat Barnes big contract for two years.
Bulls won room in their 2025 salary cap. And it will still can be larger if they can trade Lavine, Vuch and Lonzo before 2025 FA.
That's AKME target, big space on salary cap before 2025 FA.
@@sayeretmatkal6136
cap space in 2025 is yet another "get rich quick scheme" by AKME. its the same stupidity that got us vuc, damar, lonzo and lavine.
BTW, who exactly is available in 2025?
The bulls are a cheap organization that would rather have 1 mil in cash than a 2031 first round pick. just when i think this franchise cant get any more pathetic they one up themselves.
@@sayeretmatkal6136
you need great players to win championships.
i am not sure pat williams is good enough to be a #3 on a championship team. thus, our best player prob isnt anything more than a role player on a great team.
We got something instead of nothing
@@justanotheryearbulls how did the spurs get more for derozen than us, not once but twice? once when they traded him to us and now by helping the kings?
at some point, you cant just be optimistic. our GM is awful and is giving players away. And yet the bulls have the best attendance in the NBA. that means there is no reason for the owner to get a new GM.
Bro you're trippin. Duarte's cooked. He will brick every momentum pushing shot he takes.
Love second chances
And that's another thing we have a two-time All-Star and we got to give away first round picks to get rid of him you got to be kidding me they better bring Zach back and play him until somebody's calling wanting him and I do want him gone he's overpaid and he's a diva but I would not trade him just to trade him if he's unhappy oh well we all have those days in the morning he is making from the Bulls he has no reason to be unhappy
Me been a Bulls fan is over I'm tired of the BS The bulls are going to Worse then the Detroit piston was If I was a Bulls ticket holder I would ask for my money back because the Chicago Bulls are going be Losers
Bulls won
Your trippin! No way they did a great job. Hahaha getting rid of bad juju… come on man.
The bulls won the trade not based on how it profits others but how it profits the bulls. I am no fan on the leadership of the Bulls moving slow in the past or just lacking imagination to pull the trigger. But the receipt of Chris Duarte and the two second round choices is good and needed. Chris will do well in Chicago. I just hope Donovan comes up either way a more imaginative offense each year they start off with imaginative strategies and more ball movement. But as in the past they rubber band back to their habitual offense which is a Billy Donovan problem. Just on the basis of what we received versus what we would have received if not for the sign and trade I am happy would we’ve yielded.

Terrible trade

you guys think pat will. can develop with a ball hog on the team no
Bulls are the most garbage big-market team
