Well done for spinning such an awkward load... even though it took its time... yet it looks like it reduced the spin speed just like my LG... at least it had an excuse cos' the drum was inevitably unbalanced! Both my Hoovers would've behaved differently in this scenario... I'm almost 100% my Hoover 8-pulse would've cancelled that spin but my Hoover All-in-one would've probably managed to spin it at full speed. Your floor seems very slippery as the machine shifted when it launched into the faster spin, but it was clearly sliding - you might be able to remedy that by wetting the floor around the feet and let it dry naturally :)
Blanky974 yeah all my machines are now on tiles which are slippery. I forgot I was in the middle of levelling it when I got distracted by someone else. I was expecting both the Hoover and hotpoint to both go to full speed but I know the Hoover would have gone to 1400 if it was that little more balanced
I see... I noticed you tried a similar test in the Hotpoint as well: they both did well considering the nature of this load. The fact that they reduced is a bit annoying but it's just to safeguard themselves and the surroundings - perhaps re-spinning that single towel would have yielded a full spin... although that wouldn't necessarily work for my LG which is a real pain when it comes to reducing: just last night I re-spun 5 times (I also had a bit of an awkward load but not as awkward as yours in this test) and in the end I gave up... and it didn't even look that unbalanced!

Blanky974 my beko is the opposite as we speak it just hit the worktop above.
Can you do the same test on the Beko?
So unbalanced 1 item is making the whole drum unbalanced! Saaaayyy what
must have been a heavy item
