The conditions of the troops were horrible. The Americans didn't all have shoes. The history of America is incredible. Washington was a real hero. The term victory or death was coined at the battle of Trenton.
There is so much more they could have covered leading to this but it was good to watch

I was born in Washington state, but I have been to all these historical places. Travel to NJ and PA often.
My 7th great grandfather was part of it. He was a Captain in the 8th Pennsylvania regiment.

Something that is never mentioned is that 18th-century American Protestants didn't celebrate Christmas, but Germans did. This most likely had much to do with GW's plan to attack on Christmas.

to hold your ground while your men break lines and run and when asked by the British to surrender he refused and drew his saber fighting off 7 red coats and being bayoneted multiple times and left for dead.
He was a hero who was born in scotland and came to America to start a new life he was a personal friend of Washington and its said Washington missed him and was deeply sadend after he died. 🏴🤝🇺🇸
