Here's my explanation for the values of 3 and 4:- There's isn't really anything complex enough to confuse with. It's just that the values in ∆y for both x = 3 & 4 are wrong. Maybe he took without really calculating. Or most probably he took the equivalent of what he got ∆y as in for value of x as 2, where ∆y is 0.00004 so he might have assumed the value for ∆y as 0.00009 for x=3 thinking every number follows the same trend. But ∆y for x=3 comes out to be 0.00006 [(3.00001)^2 - (3)^2 = 0.00006] So the differential becomes valid now

At 4:57 you write wrong. Change is equal to 6 and 8.
