I have said it before, and I will say it again "The best information I have come across on UA-cam!" Love the presentation, and explanation and especially the ease of putting it into use! Thanks!
Hi Marcus. I’ve been watching your channel for a few weeks now. So glad I came across it (from Canada). I’ve been working on your theory of “the circle “& “swing plane”, and it’s helping me immensely to understand and hit straighter shots. Especially my driver which I’ve always sliced sooo bad!! Now, I’ve been hitting much straighter shots, like 7 out of nine in the (middle) of the fairways!!🥰 for me that’s fantastic!! Thanks so much Marcus for sharing your experience and knowledge with us wanna be golfers😎👊 I’m 71 years old and still learning. Lol😂
Love your teaching. Do you have anything other than the youtube lessons. I am hitting some good and some that start right and fade.is there a faults and fixes video

Your content, delivery, and relatable stories are outstanding! You’re an inspiration mate, and I look forward to working with you next month. Videos soon. 🇦🇺 Cheers, Jacko
Circle of speed works for me . I know where the down swing is coming from , and a draw happens with what feels to me , a square club face . Many thanks for this description of what should happen . In 50+ years of golf I have never come across this explanation and guidance . All the best !
Marcus, I have been watching many videos on how to improve your golf “ this is the best swing ever” you need to transfer your weight, you must shallow you club on the back swing, etc etc. My focus has been to stop my slice, I know I am swinging out to in, but stopping that isn’t or wasn’t easy. I came across one of you tutorials and it seemed to make sense. I have followed your guidance and low and behold my slice is a thing of the past 😊. I hit straight mostly now with the occasional draw or fade, with my driver and my distance is improving, but Rome wasn’t made in a night. My long irons are straight or a hook, something to work on. I would like to thank you for your tutorials and please keep them going.
Great teaching and training, can't wait till next season to put into play, thanks Marcus for all your effort.Nice thing is you give us skills to work on and not useless swing theories, everyone pay attention,do the drills, skills and anticipate incredible results.
Hey everyone! Marcus is spot on using an alignment stick at 45*!!! Just concluded a workout and was amazed at the difference using the alignment stick. Do It!

New subscriber from Nova Scotia and I've been binge watching your channel for the last two days and really like your content and methodology of teaching. Simple, honest and straightforward! Now I've got to get back to watching more and swinging a rope… more importantly I hope your health issues are going to improve and have you back making new videos in June or July. Hi Marcus - THANK YOU !!!!! Following your videos I have now became an amazing very long straight driver at 67 yrs old - I am still having trouble hitting behind the ball with irons - any help will be greatly appreciated Thanks for everything- you are the best and coolest trainer ever God Bless!!!!!!
Thank you and great work. Regarding your irons, watch this and try to move the landing forward: ua-cam.com/video/6nTk2W-AbIw/v-deo.htmlsi=Uu6U5ddD7W586LT-
Wise words change isn`t easy. I will give it a try 😊 just found you on UA-cam keep on going please and tell the truth where clubhead Speed is coming from.
Hi Marcus So glad to see you back and looking well…Question when you speak of backstroke [swimming in another clip) starting the downswing almost looks like the club shaft is looping under your backswing plane…is that correct I can see it in your swing only the drills …Is it the same plane back and down …or is the down under the backswing plane…sorry I know I said the same thing twice…Just thought it sounded confusing. Also I like the idea of lifting the club up to trigger the pull at start of swing …Is that something you prescribe?
First I want to thank you for your support. This year I really need it and I'm very grateful. 🙏 Regarding your question, you are correct. If I swing good I am on the same plane back and forward or a few degrees inside of my backswing going forward. The goal is to go through the straight swing plan from under to over. That's what we normally call inside and out. Okey?
Missed your last question. I don't think the lift in the start is something that would help. It just stuck with me after a lot of practice in a bunker and in thick rough.
Wow! Great drill! I love things that don't involve gizmos, training aids and set ups. Most people have a rope or can get one easily. Not surprising that your English channel is surpassing your Swedish one. There's a lot more people that speak English and I am glad you take the time to do it in English because I'd never know about this method otherwise. You are right, it's a brain problem. It has taken me a long time to understand that turning and swinging the arms are one motion, but now it makes sense to my brain to swing out without worry about a slice or push of to the right (in my case). Thanks again!
With this method I am able to control the club face much better. Tried it yesterday on 9 holes yesterday in the cold, wet weather and hit 8 GIR without any warmup. By summer I hope to be shaping shots with some consistency.
Hi Marcus, I purchased the Swingtrac mat. “Terrific” so I turned it around opposite of what it should be put my rolled up towel on the end made a white mark 8 inches forward then swung to erase the white mark without touching the towel. Absolutely the best drill for impact. Thanks you for showing me this drill. Love it. 🙏
Thanks so much Marcus for this video. The one thing that has always eluded me is how to swing faster. I can usually hit the ball solid and consistently when I swing at 60-70%. However, as soon as I try to speed things up that is when I get into trouble. The result is usually poor contact (thin or fat) and bad timing. I feel I have so much more power to utilize but the erratic ball striking is so frustrating. I think this video will help me. Thanks again!
It's the same problem we all face. The faster we swing the harder it is to be accurate in impact. Try to practice a lot in high speed and find a decent impact in that speed. You can do it. 👍
I practiced this for the first time at a Trackman range by me and was hitting consistently 10-12 in/out slinging draws with simply an exaggerated 45 degree-ish feel of swinging out. pretty wild how easy it actually is to do with the proper intent.
Hi Marcus. Just recently found your stuff. I’m 59 with a bad back and no natural ability at all. I am, in fact, a terrible golfer. But I am not much worse than my best friend and I love to play. I really enjoy your way of teaching and if I wasn’t over here in England, I would be coming to you for my first ever lessons. I feel sure that if I commit to your ideas and practice a lot, I will finally start to get better. I spent 2 hours on a playing field yesterday trying your swing. When I made good contact, I was hitting it further. Can’t hit it straight, but nothing new there. I am going to watch every video you have made and will be a fan for life. I just wanted to say thank you and to wish you good fortune. Merry Christmas for Worcester, England.
Hi Marcus happy new year…Can you let us know what the rear elbow looks like at the moment of impact is it being released into impact or is the bend to be held through impact and then released for iron swing…Being a righty playing left the stupid arm needs to be told what to do. I believe I’ve been attempting to hold the bend and have been struggling with the inconsistent results left ,right left… Thanks
Hi Billy. We need to release ALL angles but we do it differently hitting driver or iron. Everyone is not doing this the same so it's very hard to say how your elbow should look att impact. I know I have some extending left at impact with irons but I don't keep any angles, the palm down feeling gives me the motion I look for.
Ok now, I finally found the video I had mentioned. It was "UNDERSTANDING SHOULDER TURN" From three years ago. Maybe you could go over these two again?? Thanks so much. love your stuff. I've been swinging the rope and it feels great and way out to the right when swinging over the alignment stick at a 45-degree angle to the target line. Thanks so much.
I've playing golf wrong all these years. When I started out, I was put on a circular cage I was supposed to keep the shaft on the circle. The circle was in front of me.
Hi Marcus, I’ve been thinking about this and it looks like you do it as well, question is when you address the ball it looks like the club head with driver is actually closer to you not at the ball, irons looks like the club head is at the end / closer to you Is this to reach out to the ball so you push down and out? To get that sweet draw?
Hi. I know I do it most often like you say but there is no intentional reason for it. I lift the club before I start the take away and both of these things came from training in high rough and sand. Watch this: ua-cam.com/video/_K0KHj9QiaY/v-deo.htmlsi=1wwfLtVbe6UZiO3o
My friend I don't decide at what time my butt moves. I let the lower body do its natural thing and if it's doing it wrong I am not executing the shot correctly. It will also differ between shot. It moves earlier if you hit up on the ball and later if you hit a low iron shot. The lower body is a help but will never decide or hit the shot. 👍
I like the rope thing. I've done this with a large towel and taped it together with duck tape. what size rope are you using there?? Question for you, I saw on one of your videos, think bak, up down out, and up. Is that correct and what was the name of that video?? Thank, from Boston...
I don't remember what video you are referring to but If I'll see it I will let you know. The towel works great for this, just as good as my half inch thick rope. 👍
Thanks so much for your fast response. I love your athletic approach to coaching versus you having to be here here there, B. Thanks again. @@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
As long as you push down through the ball you will never early extend your body. Watch this: ua-cam.com/video/CnePavb5UMA/v-deo.htmlsi=SeK9TGPfVTs4hnPP
So Marcus, if you put a club in your hand with this drill, would you see the shaft laying on, or at least parallel to the 45 degree guide stick at waist high? Another words it feels like you’re dropping the club behind you. Most instructors suggest dropping the shaft parallel to the flight or target line at waist high. Which I think promotes an over the top swing. Your thoughts? JS.
Like I say in the video, we will not get the same angle when we hit a ball. I practice and think 45 degrees and get 5-10 in a normal situation. Most golfers try to be parallell to the target line when they practice and end up over the top hitting a golf ball. There will always be a difference between practice result and "real" results. If we understand how it differ we can become better.
@@GolfwithMarcusEdblad i will dedicate my self to promote your channel this winter even more. My game has improved so much the last month. Your the best. I hope your health is better now. 💫❤️🏌🏻♂️
You don't have to turn marcus cause your arms arms are creating the circle and body's simply following it and your hinging your wrists at top and bottom I'm assuming this allows you to realise so much more thus why you hit it long , more your hands realise and hinge without tense more power body isn't even moving fast it's your hands and arms independent of your shoulders my observations correct ?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad ah high lighbulb moment yeah i understand fully what your saying I watched video yeah makes complete sense I'll go back to driver range coming days and continue to work on these points thanks marcus
It's all about moving your hand. If the club is in the way it becomes a push. With the rope you learn the motion and that motion will become a push on the club.
You know that everyone else talks about power you talk about speed distance is club head speed not club head power so no wonder you are a long drive champ your focus is on the right thing speed not power
