The winning Czech goal was beautiful. The vision of that player to see that there was another player in an open position and just dink the pass to him to score. In my opinion that is a sign of real intelligent play. Some may strikers in the same position would have just blasted straight at the goalkeeper.
This is probably the best ever match in an international tournament. I remember losing my shit properly several times in this game. All the real fans remember this one. I can only remember one game that was definitively better than this one (Liverpool 4 Newcastle 3 1996)

当時、若くして売り出し中のヘイティンガがネドヴェドの巧妙な仕掛けによってはめられ、退場していく姿。大舞台での経験の違いをまざまざと見せつけた格好となり、さすがだなと感じました。
監督の采配も、ロッベンを外し、守りに入ろうとするオランダに対して、攻めのカードを切るチェコというわかりやすい構図となり、案の定ゲームの流れも、その交代からガラッと変わっていきました。キーパー対決といい、豪華すぎるメンツといい、ゲームの内容といい、どこをとっても、最高の試合だったと改めて思い返しました。
