extremely helpful. Thank you for this. My lesson horse hates circles. Probably because of the way my noob self is trying to do them. This gives me something to work with.
This IS helpful. I cannot tell you how often I keep the turning aids on (😂). This exercise needs to be part of my every ride. Starting tomorrow I will work at this. Thanks, Amelia.
I'm switching from western to dressage and struggling with the aids and my rein at the turn. This is sooo helpful! I can't wait to give it a try!! Thank you!!!!!!
Thank you for sharing. At our last clinic we worked on this very concept and this video helped me more fully understand the purpose and clarity of aids. 👌🏻perfect!
This is brilliant👍🏼 thank you very helpful and will give a try. My mare will not do lunging so this is a good substitute. Would be nice to see your tips for shoulder in and Travers😎👍🏼

Thank you so much Amelia, your videos are always super helpful. Circles have become a real problem for me lately so I decided to revisit this video to get me back on track. I’m looking forward to putting your tips into practice tomorrow.
I learned this lesson a long time ago but without as good an explanation and just like anything else kind of forgot about it. So thanks for the refresher and the thorough explanation I can't wait to try it... again🤣

Hi Amelia thanks you for today's learning aid it was really helpful as I too have the same challange on the left rein and that being harder for Molly - Molly is much more rounded on the right rein and what I am going to try is the diamond shape to see if that can make a difference. Thank you so much for this - we are having a jubilee celebration here this week and I do hope that you have a great weekend too - Amanda
Thank you Amelia. I find your vlogs & demonstrations very helpful. Could you do a vlog on how to correct your horse when he drops his inside shoulder on the circle, & keeps cantering smaller circles. (He only does this at the canter). ☺️
Good stuff Joseph! Do the two exercises help develop balance, straightness, and strength? Love your bringing the Western Men up. They are highly thought of in my area. One of them had a catch line.. It's a feeling can't explain.. Has anyone out there read Straight ending the Crooked Horse? Similar concept. Locking forward to more on this. Thank you!
Thank you for explaining it again and again, I guess all of us tend to forget about the release part, we get so focused on turning in the shape of a circle. Could you please help me out with how to make it look more like a circle and not a square? I always have the feeling that I'm riding a circle - from the back of the horse it looks like a perfect circle, but in the video it is a square with only rounded edges (parallel to the sides of the arena). 🤔 Thank you for any tips.

Jesus, get that horse into trick riding.
He's got a smooth gate, great footing, good at keeping a constant speed and he's good at riding the circle.
Thank you Amilia, I love how you break everything down into very do-able excercies, what a gift you give to us :)
Glad you like them!

Thank you, Amelia! I agree with another rider comment - you give us great exercises in do-able chunks.
Reminds me of the bending aids I learned in the masterclass. Thanks Amelia
I'm switching from western to dressage and struggling with the aids and my rein at the turn. This is sooo helpful! I can't wait to give it a try!! Thank you!!!!!!
That's great! Let me know how it goes!
This very helpful because it seems like a preparatory step to the serpentine required in training level 3. My mare and I both have trouble with this.
Making a circle to the right has been a huge problem for me lately, so I can't wait to try this. Thanks! beautiful horse, by the way.
Happy to help!
