      @@BillsGo1 Definitely trending down due to injuries. But yeah, regardless of the reason, it's never good to trend down at the end of the season. The hope is that those injured players get healthy in time for the playoffs.

    • @BillyBuffalo354
      @BillyBuffalo354 5 днів тому +1

      @RageDaug to be fair, they gave up 14 pts before a garbage time TD to NE, got 3 turnovers, 1 witch resulted in a guaranteed FG, and the other recovered in the End zone for a TD. The 4 games prior to that, they played SF, LAR, & Det, 3 of the top offenses in the League (especially with the Rams being healthy), and KC as the 4th team. That's 4 straight games against quality opponents, top rated offenses, and while dealing with injuries. So as long as we get healthy we will be more battle tested than a lot of other defenses in the playoffs.

      I love your perspective and optimism. I don;t want to be a downer but I call it the way I see it. What the Bills defense lacks is toughness and attitude. The defense starts slow every week and lacks urgency out of the gate. Leadership issue? Readiness issue? Teams take on the personality of their coaches. I see one win Vs the 7 seed and a loss to the Ravens at home. Then McDermott, Beane and Babich will draw up plans for 2025 to do the same thing over and over again with its soft, bend don't break defense. Some folks haver been around here long enough to know the McDermott script.@@BillyBuffalo354

    To be honest, if josh wins MVP people will be pissed and might even disrespect him even more if he does since it was "undeserving." However, lamar is the player in the NFL I despise the most that has benefitted so much from the team around him. Its absurd to call him "Most Valuable"

  • @SonofStormblessed
    @SonofStormblessed 6 днів тому +3

    The Bills are still gonna get smoked in the playoffs, which I wish wasn’t true. But the 3rd down defense is the worst I’ve ever seen from the Bills, and I’m 35. Even in the drought years, it was never this terrible. And people can say I’m just focusing on one stat. But it’s literally the stat, that by far, correlates the most with winning and losing, especially in the playoffs, when the offenses get evened out. Not that the media cares, the way they ignore this number to give the fan base false hope is starting to become diabolical. If it’s not fixed, like now, then there’s pretty much no hope at a Superbowl. Babich is so reliant on turnovers, and when they don’t happen multiple times a game, the defense turns into a joke. And because of it I don’t think Babich should be retained next year, because it’s on him. I’d be fine bringing him back if there was progress, but if the New England game showed anything, it was that this defense is actually going backwards. He’s got at least 3 more games to prove he’s worth keeping, I really hope he shows us he’s capable. Because as of right now, the combo of the defensive line being terrible every week, and 3rd down defense getting worse week after week, looks Terrible on Babich. And before people talk about the talent issue, it’s the same D-line as last year, except Miller is actually significantly better this year.
    And I get Babich is young and needs time to learn. But man that’s not fair to anyone else on the team. Why should guys like Josh and Deion, and Knox have to wait? Just because Babich might figure it out, eventually. That’s not what’s best for the team. The best thing for the team would to bring in an actual already established D-coordinator.
    But hey, it’s all null and void if Babich can get it figured out. Which I really hope it does, a superbowl counts on it. And ultimately him taking a big step, right now is best for everyone. But I got to see it before I’ll believe it.

    • @BuffaloStampede17
      @BuffaloStampede17 6 днів тому

      How certain are we that babich is actually calling the DEF? Locked on believes McDermott is actually calling them. Which makes sense if you’re looking for another scapegoat when he chokes again in the playoffs.

    • @RobertAWilson
      @RobertAWilson 6 днів тому

      Beane’s and McDermotts defensive line drafting has been underwhelming and the defense is to small lacks athletic ability and physical toughness. The Bills defense has been overwhelmed and destroyed in the playoffs.

  • @SonofStormblessed

    The biggest issue I have with the MVP debate is that it’s the SAME EXACT people who argued for Lamar last year that are arguing for him this year. Which can ONLY mean those people are now, undeniably changing the criteria for what the MVP is. And they are doing it ONLY to get there guy the award. I also believe that allot of people have one other big issue with Allen, but I’m not gonna say what it is, because it should be irrelevant.

    The Tennessee Titans in 2020 were 10-5 with Derrick Henry and Ryan Tannahill. If Lamar is actually having as “historic” of a season as they are trying to tell us, they would be winning more. Allen has pulled off the impossible and won more games with half the roster. This MVP debate shouldn’t be as close as it is imo.

    If Josh doesn't give a concerted effort to win the MVP in the next 2 games he won't get one. Mcdermott ruins games playing to safe I believe changing the mindset to be aggressive every week to win and play well matters more based on the past of this team.

    • @RageDaug
      @RageDaug 6 днів тому

      McDermott isn't calling the plays. When McD called defense, they were more aggressive. I believe we've seen more of McD influence in the last couple games when Babich started getting more aggressive.
      And that holds even more true to the Offensive play calls. McD isn't telling Brady what play to call.

    The NFL should go back to 6 playoff teams per conference and give back the bye week to the # 2 seed in the AFC & NFC which they took away in 2020 when the NFL added a 7th playoff team.
    The # 2 playoff seed has NO business playing in a Wild-Card game. During the Tom Brady/Bill Belichick era in New England from 2000 to 2019, the Patriots were the AFC's # 2 playoff seed 7 times, had a first round playoff bye each time and won their first playoff game.

    "Get out there and do your business...." That's funny Sal. This defense sleepwalks thought the first drive each and every week. Sometimes it lasts through the first quarter like it did Vs NE. Or an entire half like it did Vs the Texans. Or an entire game like it did Vs the Rams. Hoping for someone to step up and get this defense ready from snap 1.

    To be fair to Bills' Mafia, I haven't heard the trashing going both ways. I believe most of Bills Mafia believes Lamar is #2 for MVP. We aren't trashing him, or hating him, we are just explaining why Josh is more valuable.
    On the other side, I have heard a lot of, "Allen sucks!" talk from Lamar supporting fans. So maybe it's anecdotal, but like I said, I think the QB trashing is primarily going one direction.
