- Stephen praises Jude for his linguistic prowess, but thinks he sounds too much like a North Carolinian. Which triggers a pretty spicy BBQ sauce dispute.

Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!" - Розваги
This guy can charm the the black off a panda.
Jude Law's laugh, ohh man it reminds me of a cold wind through trees in Winter, so strong yet so wispy. SO HOT
So accurate.. wtf
My God, the most poetic thirst comment ever
*bows * bless, thank you 😂
Rockin that V-neck.
+rendo Neck-deep in some rockin' V!
V or not to V
that IS the question
+tjpm lesbian women say that
@rockn roll somebody sounds jealous
Jude Law possesses an intellect that strikes me as being borderline genius, as the guy is brilliant. Great actor as well (and an all round Great person!). 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
So many British actors making it big in Hollywood. They have so much more intelligence and charm about them.
Big Jude Law fan since GATTACA. Actually, I think I'll watch it again, now.
checkout also enemies at the gate, one of my favorite war movies .
Tears
I came from gattaca
Gattaca is my favorite film personally !
Was looking for a movie to watch that is a great idea. Will go rent.
Jude is wearing a Simon Cowell, a deep v.
He's very charming and has aged well!
Good god... his face is such perfection
Jude Law is a genius.
such a likable fella
He is so gorgeous!!!
I thought Matt Damon killed him in the Italian seas.
it's because he plays himself, like Robert Downey Jr. does
and i thought that he burned in an incinerator
You can't kill handsome....
The absolute best Watson every portrayed on screen!
Jude law is simply so charming
He is so sweet. I'm almost sure all of those women had children from Jude Law solely because he is handsome and sweet.
They didn't even care that he dumps them right after :D
I'll do the same
Oh Lemony Snicket,
whisk me away into a state of whimsy with your velvet smooth voice.
Great interview with Sting
I can't believe that I just wrote that in the other video of him...They could say they're brothers.
buzz off :-)
They have the same shirt, the same haircut and the same smile. Omg
😂
And the same raspy British accent... lol
Dear stephen's intern,
Why do you always switch up the order of connected video uploads? for a 2 part interview, could you please be consistent in whether they are uploaded part 1, then part 2, or part 2, then part 1 so that I know WHICH ORDER TO CLICK ON THEM!?!? thanks
His intern is an idiot.
Dude it's obvious? The first part he introduces them, the second they are uninterrupted.
ah jude come here
His charm is everything, oh good Lord!
He’s adorable
Aw I didn't know that Jude Law was such a likeable person :)
I've had a crush on this man since I was 11 xD and I'm 25 now lol
Me too 😭😂
he is gorgeous
He is so handsome
Not really
Thing is I’ve never met anyone in North Carolina with an accent like that because I’ve literally never left the capital city. But we do have better barbecue so fight me.
Sherlock🕵, psychiatrist, etc. he's a great actor
He has to play a young Stannis Baratheon
"Jude Law's movies are banned in Belarus"
Is an alternate title
His chest is so red!! He's the living beet 😮
Blessed that they had a convo about North Carolina 💕 But fuck you who puts mustard in their barbecue 😂 and likewise that was a Johnston County accent 😂😂💕
You've never had mustard BBQ? Texas is big on it. It's delicious
There are no explicitly banned movies in Belarus. It's a common misconception, and there are only films not recommended for distribution in Belarus by the ministry of culture. It means that films like Cannibal Holocaust or Saw VII are not recommended due to being considered too violent, or in cases with some other films, too close to pornography to be released in theatres. It kind of suck, if you're a fan of gory slashers, but you can still safely buy a DVD, or stream it, or watch it on cable TV, etc. But even though they are not recommended for commercial release, films like the remake of Evil Dead still were shown in theatres. And I don't think there are actually any movies with Spacey or Law on the not recommended list.
I don't know who are the theatric group that Jude Law is helping, but chances are they are just fleecing naive foreigners for money. Belarus is notoriously bad when it comes to freedom of speech, so there are many artists who are actually silenced, but there are also plenty of con-artists who make money on trying to appear more controversial and politically persecuted than they are.
LOL I MET U JUDE LAW IN PARIS 2 YEARS AGO IN PARIS LOL XD
Colbert called it correctly - 'Belarus', and Jude Law says it wrong ('Belarussia') having met people from the country personally. Weird. It is BELARUS, not Belarussia!
Thank you so much for this comment! Not many people know that. It IS BELARUS.
People pronounce the country names differently in different languages. Example: Iran is pronounced Eeran by Iranians themselves not "I ran".
Rhett & Link VS Stephen Colbert on barbecue sauce. :P
I'm from North Carolina
He sounds Southern to anyone that isn't from the south.
This lol
So true
I can't stop staring at his lovely chest hair I'm distracted by it did he have to be so sexy 😭❤️😍
I hate chest hair.
Didn't he have a southern accent in cold mountain?
I like the sound of a mustard-based BBQ sauce... :-p so SC gets my vote (which NC would probably try to suppress anyway).
If you close your eyes: Martin Freeman
OMG you are right!
OMG yes!!
Just bc hes british?
Anyone remember him most as Vasily Zaitsev (sp)? That receding hairline though...
That moment when Jude becomes the host for a second :p
thats one deep V
Pitch Black in Da house
Dadddyy
He’s one of those actors that takes over the whole screen, he captures your attention, it’s like sipping a good wine 🍷 good sex, along with a good smoke.... hmmmmm! pure.... Satisfaction! 😉
actually, there are 2 NC bbq sauces. Eastern, which is vinegar and not-eastern which is not vinegar.
Yeah I didn't even realize that NC and SC had a BBQ war lol. I just thought us western NC people hated eastern NC BBQ.
Ham n' cheese actor
Plunging V neck, PLUNGING.
With that accent, all I hear is John marsten from red dead redemption
Didn't he have one for Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil?
hahaha, was just going to say that, but thought i would search the comments first :)
Um, that wasn't a sourthern accent, that was something from another planet. "I'm gon get fuktup"
LOL. Forget about that classic line. Need to rewatch.
there's no off position on the genius switch
There was. May 20th, 2015. Sadly. Late night has never been the same. Will never be the same.
The Pee Dee region of SC uses a pepper vinegar sauce for BBQ, which is hands down the best. Mustard based sauce used in the SC Midlands is a travesty.

I expected more from you, Stephen.
114 now and only you and me
The women are recovering from their exploding ovaries, thus comments would come once they recovered.
He's just so easy to watch 👀
NC bbq is so much better.
❤️Thanks for your infinite love and support you have consistently been showing me. I can’t appreciate the unconditional I’ve gotten from you, which has inspired me to give more sensational entertainment. I’m forever grateful. What country are you watching from?
Kinda sounds like forrest gump
Another true Americana played by a true blood american actor. Well done sir, well done !
he's british.
And I'm sarcastic...
no your not
Yes. Because it's absolutely impossible to figure it out if his actually British or not just by his middle class cogni accent.I also need his permanent address and birth certificate.
Is Belarus the country which the President brings his son to political events instead of the wife?
Yes :D
A shameful but unfortunately truthful fact!
bom para tosse, lindo eh o Bosie, outros e outros não são o Bosie nem se escreverem B-O-S-I-E.
his chest is on fire
It's the lighting, when he walked over it was normal x
Hold up Stephen North Carolina is the REAL carolina
Im a year late and i dont care
Jude law has this menacing presence in whatever/all the roles he takes. The cold blooded hired gun in “The Road to Perdition” seals it for me. What’s your’s?.
The only law I obey is Jude Law
That's actually really funny!
NC BBQ is the best. Fucking mustard, yuck!
have you tried it?
whatsuphotdog yup. gross.
the neck is to low
People from the south don't sound like that
Dare I say it, Belarus were right to ban Kevin Spacey films.
Belarus is the last dictatorship in Europe? Has this guy heard of Turkey?
Turkey is in Asia, not Europe... although part of the largest city in the country is on the continent of Europe the capital and majority of the country lies in Asia so it's not considered a European country...
joecairo1 That's why they don't desperately want to join the EU right? Don't try and be a smartass.
Belarus being the last dictatorship is a common statement actually. But Turkey is not considered a part of Europe.
Flynamic Thank you for clarifying Mr, Flynamic, resident of fucking Idaho. I'm from Switzerland, which is in Europe (not that you'd know) and Turkey is considered part of Europe.
+Leto Atreides II I live in Germany, what you see on my profile is a fictional town from a TV series. There are obviously different geopolitical views of the matter, but fairly I'm not an expert.
Lucas Black has one of the most truly authentic southern accents out there. Hollywood otherwise always gets it wrong and this Jude Law character you can hear it's a bad accent within the first two words he speaks. Hear the difference when Lucas Black speaks in the below youtube vid
ua-cam.com/video/tYVxcfhQj4I/v-deo.html
That's because Lucas Black is from the South
Now double-banned Spacey movies.
HEY vinegar based BBQ sauce is not good and neither is a mustard based one and I forgive South Carolina of their Arrogance
It's shocking that he still looks English. I don't buy the Southern accent because of his looks. He just looks English.
I don't know if you know this, but white southerners are some of the most Anglo-lookin mfers around.
Stephen Colbert has the charm of an eel. The face might smile but the eyes do not. He appears to me like he's always heavily juiced on speed
just eating him with my eyes right here......
Hail the young pope
He is a very talented actor but for some inexplicable reason, I'm slightly repulsed by him, no clue why, it's weird.
Nope on the accent
Ehhhh, it's not the best. Then again, even Americans can't get the accent right
Jude Law is exquisitely beautiful. I imagine him to smell like honey and cedar.
he believes in free speach so long as it goes along with the dictate of current political trends that dominate the western media. Go against that and the western media would cancelculture him. But apart from that i wish i was him, and think hes cool af
Most people don't believe in 100% free speech, they just say they do.
