    I have the Z1 20mm spacers and I’ve went to 3 shops and they quoted me 300$ up to 1000+$ to have these installed. Thanks for this video

    Well done video, helped me understand what needed to be done before I started. I'm in the process of installing H&R wheel spacers (DRS) with extended studs on my 97 Infiniti I30T, uses same thread type as your Z. I'm doing 20mm in Rear & 15mm in Front.
    Some additional problems I ran into that others should prepare for/additional preperation:
    -The rear studs were to long to fit into hub so I had to cut a notch for them in my dust shield to get them into the hub.
    -All my lug studs were very rusty and they did not bang out on a few tries. You will need to get extra Nuts before starting because you will have to bang on them hard and nuts will flatten.
    -You will need a air compressor, air impact wrench, impact sockets to do this job at home.

    Wow, Aaron,, you are one of the better spoken UA-camrs. Your video was very well done and I didn't have to put up with large amounts of camera shake. You explained what you were doing and then showed it without adding a lot of blather in your comments (that is really a good thing).

    What size wheel studs you use in the front?

    Z1 says the brakes dont need to be removed to tackle extended studs due to the recess on the back. What say you?

    I have no idea how your extended stud just slid right in.. mine just rubs against the Knuckle and has too much angle so it won’t slide in.

    Were your studs on the riffled part thicker than the studs before?

    Are the extended stud needed ? Or it's just recommended

    • @huck167378
      @huck167378  7 років тому +1

      Rico Cartel if you're doing spacers for your wheels, or if you're getting wheels with aggressive offsets, the extended studs are highly recommended. you want a safe amount of threads to grab onto so your wheels don't come off at high speed cornering.

      Not in my experience with the 350/370/G35/G37 platform. It may be different for other vehicles

    is there a reason why you went with extended wheel studs and spacers rather then adapters

    • @huck167378
      @huck167378  7 років тому

      Garvel Joseph the spacers with the studs built into them can introduce another point of possible failure due to adding another structural weakness. this particular customer wanted to be able to do track days and it's not advised to do track days on spacers with the studs built in to them.

    Hi! I'm looking into getting the same setup, are you lowered or stock height? Would 15mm front / 20mm rear work if ever I dropped mine with swift springs?

    Way too much trouble. That's why they sell spacers with bolts already attached.

    I want some spacers for my '11 but don't want to end undue stress to the axles/ hubs, what are some long term downsides of running spacers?

    • @huck167378
      @huck167378  7 років тому

      The Fulcrum only what you've mentioned above although if you're not taking the car to the track then I wouldn't worry about it too much. I know plenty of people who have had spacers on for years with no problems.
