how do you choose which extension method to use? like what makes you pick either clear gel, or poly gel, or nail forms, nail tips, etc.?

because i think all the designs in advance, the shape, the actual design on the nails, I usually see which method I feel like doing at that time as well. Do I feel like putting in some work with gel or should I quickly make them with fake nails? Kinda like this haha. In my case, the oval ones look prettier with fake nails, so I tend to use that combo as my go to, for example
