This was an important episode early in the first season. Yes she was being unfairly judged for her gender, and each incident could have been isolated but these incidents add up to abnormal behavior. Ally was in love with Billy. Her whole world revolved around him, she didn’t know who she is without him, she’s only a lawyer because she followed him into law school. And he’s still in love with her. And for her to be in the same room with him day in day out and not have him was causing psychological anguish. Either he should have left Georgia to marry Ally or she had to leave his life for good, leave her law profession and go find herself. Got all that from this one episode.
“Did she sleep with him?” THERE. Discrimination. Persecution. These judges wanted to take Ally’s license away cuz of moral judgement, not legal judgement. He wanted to burn her at the stake for being a whore. Would definitely shame these judges for treating Ally this way.
