Brian - new subscriber to your channel. I've been a DJ for a long time. Always old school with CD's. (Won't mention the 45's and the cassettes, LOL.) I've finally decided to start ripping all my CD's and get a laptop etc. Which DJ program do you recommend to use since you mentioned two here? I am disabled too. I need to find lighter equipment now as well. Do you mind if I email you/DM directly with any questions? Thanks for your great content and all the best!

Options and click box, "Rip CDs automatically" and they will start ripping when you load. Also click on auto eject when finished. Thanks Brian💕

I really encourage anyone ripping to check those tags first, especially when dealing with CDs that are maybe a bit more illusive

Win Media Player pops up and you can stop the rip if needed. I've had tags that were incorrect and did not match the disks esp in multi-disk packs. Then I have to manually retype every track.

I prefer to check all info before ripping it, in case things need to be changed. I agree with auto eject when finished, but not with auto rip. Just my opinion.

Brian, I thought this was a great video because sadly the number of DJs that do not know how to Rip a CD just might get a little lower if they take the time to watch and learn, so they can continue to practice and enjoy!

I've been using Nero since it came out. I save cd songs in WAV. I then edit, mainly getting rid of dead space. Then rip to cd 320k. constant bit rate. Then run it all through Platinum Notes and Mixed in Key to get volume levels same and bpm, etc... I also use Platinum and MIK with downloads from dj pools.

It is the same on a MacBook you just use a program called music rather than Windows media player

My entire collection is on CD and I rip them into my computer. Yes, I do buy some songs online, but I prefer to own the actual copy so that I still have the music even when my computer goes to hell.

To Rip Music CD's to .WAV- I've used: AnyBurn, Cyberlink Power2Go, EAC Exact Audio Copy and Windows Media Player.
Then to Tag the metadata to the music file, I use: Mp3Tag
I found that Windows Media Player was the best and fastest way to Rip CD's - I never thought that would be the case, but it is.
WMP finds the CD Metadata info all by it self, like the Artist, Album, Title and the Albun Art -
BUT it does Not insert that Metadata info into the audio File, but it's still good because sometimes you don't know what songs and or Artist are on a particular CD.
So then after the Rip, just use Mp3Tag for the metadata and Album Art.
