- In this episode of JBTrickleRC we cover RC Crawling for the first time. RC Trail Trucks and Crawlers have become more and more popular over the years with several manufacturers offering many in various scales, classes, suspension types all with the ability to customize to your liking.
In this particular episode we take one of the more budget friendly trail trucks/crawlers (Redcat Everest Gen 7 Sport) for a test run with a competition style setting.
This is the first RC crawling video in a series of videos coming soon. I'm currently building a SCX10 II Builders kit and plan to cover the build as well as a side by side comparison of these two trucks.
The Gen 7 performs even better with the V2 portal axle kit installed. It's like a night and day difference.
Thats good information. I still have one gen 7 in my collection.
Siiick video bro!!🔥🔥🔥💪💪💪💯💯👍👍👍👍👍
I've never seen anyone do some crawling. Looks challenging, but could be fun. Great video as usual bud.
Thanks Jake. In a competitive setting it's indeed very challenging and takes an entirely different set of skills than what we are used to from racing.
@@jbtricklerc I can definitely see the different skill set just through this video. Looks hard!
Like #1 good crawling brother 🤘🏾🔥💯
Great video, looks like a cool place, I just bought a orange gen 7
Joe thats awesome! Its a very capable truck and well done right out of the box with only a few minor things I'd change as I mentioned in the video. Have a blast with it and I greatly appreciate the support and comment.
Nice crawling found you through rc terminator you did a amazing job on that body
Adventure Time RC thank you! I'm subscribed to you as well. I really appreciate the support and kind words.
You from ol SC buddy lol I am too. Anderson SC to be exact
Travis I am indeed lol I'm from the upstate area as well.
North Carolina checking in! I love RC. I'm slowly getting into crawlers. They're more suited for camping trips. Bashers usually don't go over well at the campground. Lol
Hey I got the gen7 pro how can I mount a winch to the bumper. I can't find another bumper that will mount to the truck that accepts it winch
Michael Lee I modified my factory number. I just got creative and measured and drilled mounting holes. I can't guarantee it would work for everyone because depending on which winch you buy the mounting can vary. However, I do highly recommend googling "SCX10 bumper on Redcat gen7". There are a few forums out there that shows where people installed the SCX10 bumper mounts so they can use axial bumpers. It will require some fitting. But it's doable. I'd link it for you but I don't remember the exact link anymore.
I just can't get into rc crawling man! Challenging but it's just not my cup of tea!
Madthunder I hear ya. Everyone has their preferences in RC for sure. I'm primarily an oval racer but love various other areas of competitive RC as well. Plenty more Racing coming in 2021. In fact will have another dirt oval and 1RC oval race coming to the channel in the next couple of weeks.
@@jbtricklerc oh that sounds exciting! I should give crawling another shot! But that's four some other time! Maybe mini crawling might change my opinion!
@@maxthunder2 looking into getting the family a full fleet of scx24's for some indoor and outdoor mini crawling fun.
@@jbtricklerc there you go! Get the whole family into RC that's what I like!
@@maxthunder2 that's the goal lol
