The beauty of Languages is that; it allows the mind to expand and to pioneer a way to new thinking process neurologically. I support your ideology of incorporation and achieving self goals, rather than adhere to others. Great video!

Finally caught up on this series! I haven't been necessarily doing the challenge since I'm a college student with a full plate, but I have been studying a langauge in my spare time. Steve, you are an awesome inspiration! Keep it up!

Hey man thank you! Came back here because I have a dream to become a lawyer, detective, or maybe even a scientist in China. I have high ambitions but i also want to learn the mindsets of the Chinese people and culture. It fascinates me. But I’m just a Puerto Rican boy. Not much luck for me but My ambitions are never endinh

I learned Japanese for my own reason: I loved Japanese pronunciation and Japanese is very similar in grammar with my native Chuvash language(I am from Russia). Ganbari nasai yo!

if we enjoy what we're doing , our brain could be more easily memorizing the things we learned.

hi Steve, i am russian speaker, i've dabble in czech and german recently. But now i have decided to go back to english. I speak and read fairly well in english, but every time i try to watch movie- it is a dissapopintment- i don't understand. Could you please tell me how to deal with it?

Movies are hard to understand. Often you don't know the context, the dialogue is often unnatural, and they are not speaking to you directly. You just have to keep watching and working on your language and it will slowly get easier. Good luck.

Wait a second, your wife is playing Mozarts piano concerto no. 21 andante... that's a lovely piece. Also if you want check your Korean language you should watch a movie called Oldboy (korean version), Sympathy for lady vengeance and I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK. Those are some Koreans films if you haven't already watched them, a little weird but they're also really good :)

    Steve,
You should tell people not to tell you what you should do.

What? Give it a rest. You aren't talking about someone who regularly procrastinates or can't be bothered. Life happens. You adapt and choose what to do and what takes a back seat on a given day. And he said he's aiming for 4 hrs study to catch up. Clearly, language learning is a priority for Steve so he makes time for it.
