"free speech" as long as it does not cause public disorder or free speech with reasonable restriction. Freedom is NOT an entitlement. It is a privilege !! It is what Indian supreme court said during emergency. State has the power over its citizens since it provides security against external and internal threats. Western countries also DOES NOT HAVE free speech. eg Snowden who exposed American government. He is hiding is some central American country. If there was freedom to expose then why would he hide? The same is the case of Julian Assange

Non committal . But wants a free speech . Good! . Free speech is a guaranteed right accorded by the constitution . But free speech shall not hurt others overtly or covetly. A sort of care and caution with restraints r needed t oprotect a " Free Speech". If Mr. Arvind Swamy is for a free speech with no hurts on grounds of religion , caste , creed , or beliefs, i go with him .
Free speech can affect many. So inhibited India. Rich country dominate. People fear and immaturity, and lack of knowledge in broad spectrum. They can be wrong in many sectors. So..,... If the interview is a tamil interview everybody can understand is'nt it??? They discuss about pure tamil movies ,both know tamil why interview is in english??? I totally blame the anchor for this attempt Arvind swami sir is just answering for the questions questioned in english language
Time for free speech now : Anyone with any class will know that Bogan was crap. The screen play was very very very weak. Other than Aravindh Swamy... (Who, by the way, looked great!, as always:)) ... everything else in that movie was totally ridiculous. A completely rip off of face off... while it was a rip off, what is going to take the team to just replicate a good screen play of the original face off atleast?! Why kill a good script that's already in existance?! Like Really! ... People need some creativity and should put their own minds together to come up with something on their own. Phew!

Indian constitution guarantees fundamental rights for free speech "with restrictions" !! chacha nehru brought in this amendment as soon as he could because he believed that people would criticize him pretty badly and being a ego-maniac that he was he slid in this amendment in the constitution to silence his critics and perceived enemies. aravind would be better informed if he knows about this when he makes another comment about free speech again.

Free speech is a problem in this country? Seriously? No other country has been as liberal as India when it comes to free speech...Proof? The likes of Kanhaiya kumar who publicly shouted anti india slogans and still had some people supporting him...You had Aurndati Roy who had the courage to say kashmir is not a part of India and defended herself saying its freedom of speech...Try doing the same in Singapore, Korea, China, Saudi or any other middle eastern country for that matter...then come and tell me about that free speech in India

If the interviewer started to speak in tamil arvind would have also replied back in tamil... First make the guest comfortable and start talking in tamil rather than showing classy attitude and your english talking skills by conversing in english
