I'm probably a little older than most of your viewers, but I used to watch you with my daughter. She followed you for years and loved to show me your movie reviews. We would laugh and enjoy time together. She passed on September 28 during treatment for her leukemia. It has been the hardest month of my life and haven't laughed or smiled much. I came here today to remember time with my daughter, and it was wonderful. I laughed and smiled, and I know my daughter would be too. Thank you, Jaime.

The cops are actors from the Police Academy movies, the manager guy is from Revenge of the Nerds. Plus Pat Morita from Karate Kid and James Hong from Big Trouble in Little China! The legendary 80s cameos in this movie are actually soooo impressive!

New York Minute is "recent" cringe and is the most early 2000s movie I've ever seen.
My stylist gave me a literal Beehive for Prom!! I couldn’t tell her I hated it, but I cried the whole drive home, my mom was horrified, she washed my hair while I leaned my head over the side of the tub…. soooo many bobby pins! Thankfully my mom saved the day, and I made it to prom.
I honestly never trusted my hair stylist to actually style my hair after cutting it. She always made it a helmet when I let her and made me immediately regret my haircut. I’d have to go home and restyle it to see if it was actually a terrible cut. 😂
My mom sent me to a lady who gave her the worst haircut of her life for my quince. I hated what she did so much. Tight spiral curls, not separated or brushed out just tight curls, in two half ponytails at the top of my head. I BEGGED my mom to wash it out and blow dry it straight because I felt so ugly. She didn’t want to offend the lady though. I never forgave her.

Okay so can we talk about how considerate of a person Jamie is? She is the only UA-camr I will watch her sponsorship ads for, and she even added a countdown timer so you know when to skip to. I have been on UA-cam for almost 20 years, and this is the first time I’ve ever seen that. This lady is a good person. Through and through.
I left a similar comment. Jaime is the only person I actually watch the full sponsor commercial for. And that timer is amazing. Then you add in that she actually takes real ad breaks and doesn’t insert it mid word. Next level. Love Jaime!
Jamie from Jammidodger puts "AD" in the bottom left of his screen for the duration so you can skip too. Not that I ever skip THIS Jaime's ads because she's a comedic genius, but I guess Jamie/Jaime youtubers are just very considerate with ads lol

I feel like it is especially nice for people outside of US; because even though I love Jaime's ads, I immediately want to buy what she advertises and it bums me out that I can't. Not because I spend too much, just things she advertises are actually things I would consider buying regardless and she is just a very compelling storyteller.
So in other words, it's probably better for my finances that I don't live in US :P
Chris Trousdale from DreamStreet! My sister and I were obsessed with them!! He passed from complications from Covid in 2020 💔 the remaining members of DreamStreet sang “It Happens Everytime” in tribute to him via individual videos put together.
That is so terribly sad.

I met Michael Winslow at a local comedy club when I was 16 or 17 I think while he was there doing shows. We went for my birthday to see him live & while there I saw my neighbor who worked in the kitchen & he asked me if I could give him a ride home because his car had died & he wasn’t able to find a ride home that evening. So I sat there & waited for him to be done & Mr. Winslow came & sat down at the table with me and chatted while I waited for him & he waited for his ride back to his hotel. He was the sweetest dude!!

So I owned Dreamstreet's CD back in middle school, and I even wrote fan mail to Chris and Jesse 😅🙈 I was obsessed. My 2 year old sister got ahold of that CD and for some reason just scratched the heck out of it with her fingernails to where it was unplayable. I had a meltdown, my little heart was broken. I never listened to Dreamstreet again.
The sponsor countdown timer is a great touch. It really helped me to be more patient and keep watching instead of skipping ahead.

i have seen Chris Trousdale one time in my entire life, and it was in a shake it up episode where he played a teen heartthrob that turns out to be a 25 year old pretending to be 16 to appeal to a bigger audience and I am just now realizing it was a meta joke cuz he was a teen heartthrob, completely flew over my head as a kid

Another creator decided HE should be credited in steady and said and did horrible things about it (including wearing a fat suit to mock Jaime). I wasnt a fan at the time but she spoke of it a little in one of her videos and I searched it up on UA-cam

I love how they have supporting actors are from the most iconic 80's movies of all time. Gibbs was in revenge of the nerds and bloodsport, BOTH the police officers was in police academy, and obviously mr.miyagi, the lawyer was in big trouble in little China. A fun fact about this film: This movie was supposed to star all the members, a year before the lawsuit took place between the producer and boys parents. According to my friend saw them in person, one of the other member said something that the group.
Was going to make a movie the following later, but it’s unsure whether if it Biggest Fan was the movie. That they were referring to or title was something else, but not confirm if it is Biggest Fans. They never said what’s the name of the movie called.
Reason why none of the other members was in the film and why is only staring Chris, because the produces making the boys drinking, sleeping with their fans and exposing them to pornography.
Which the parents took this to court, except for Chris and his parents was okay with this. Which causes the group to never perform under the name Dream Street again, which is the reason why the group broke up.
I did see a thing on that.

I, sadly, have only recently found you but I am glad to have found you. Your female protagonist falling compilation is hilarious. It is so TRUE! I am super clumsy, so I think I never noticed until you pointed it out. Also, pointing out the really dumb quirks that they give female protagonists is awesome. I noticed it but I never connected it for some reason. The worst one I have seen was from fifty shades of grey where she puts the tea bag in for less time than it would take for any flavor to disperse.
Can I please recommend the movie Ratz? It was like on showtime or hbo all the time in 2000. It has Kathy Baker from Edward Scissorhands and Vanessa Lengies from Stick it and Waiting. Turns rats into cute boys to be dates for a dance

Just cause you mentioned Aaron Carter, did you hear about his "suspicious" death? He was a month away from turning 35, which makes it even more unfortunate. They are working on the autopsy, but some sources say he was found unresponsive in his bath tub. RIP, I hope he and his loved ones find peace and comfort during this difficult time.

If you want something musical, but also weirdly trippy, I’d recommend Unicorn Tales! They’re a group of short fairy tales redone in the ‘80s in a modern musical style. I had volume 2 on tape and there’s so many catchy, cringe, and quotable moments. They’re actually on UA-cam, which I’m so thankful for, since my VHS deteriorated from age and use. Love your reviews!
