I agree with you. I don't understand why some viewers find the female lead (FL) useless. Not every 21st-century girl needs to be a superwoman (like a doctor, assassin, etc.). It's perfectly fine for them to be a little smart and cute, especially in genres where the male lead (ML) pampers and adores her. A badass FL is more fitting in stories where the ML is blind, pathetic, manipulative, or abusive.
I love this drama. Both FL ML work well together. Both are good looking and their chemistry is great. I have seen ML in a few dramas now, this one I particularly like for his kindness and devotion to FL. She is a little ditsy at times and you would think coming from Modern times she would handle things a little better but I suppose that's how the drama is made. I think the high and mighty princess is a bit over the top, actually quite annoying at times I wish I could throttle her but that just me. It's such a refreshing change to have a ML that loves his wife and no brutality. Overall, I would definitely watch again. 10/10

In costume dramas especially finding an ML who respects his wife 100% is pretty rare, since they're usually princes or high offficials who are allowed to have concubines. True, it really break the immersion. I appreciate that they want to make it easy to remember the names but it would be better if they make it believable too.
I'd be all: "Wait, am I dead? Where am I? WHEN am I? Oh look at all the pretty colours and lovely fabrics. What a superb carvings on the handle of the knife coming right at my thro--..." Or "What a sensational cup and saucer. And the tea--it must be really good quality. arg... arg... $%*&." Not even 15 minutes.
You are not going to get great actors in these types of low-budget films. Everyone has to start somewhere. Only the great ones will make their way to the top.

Exactly that... Anyone who doesn't ally themselve with this prince and husband is an female idiot and doesn't deserve it any other way! However, you have to bear in mind that in these old relationships the family and especially the mother were very important and came first. Remember: it was Jesus who first spoke of leaving father and mother and being together with his husband/ wife. What we take for granted today was new and groundbreaking back then.
I really like that he’s one woman man i saw many movies but it is my first time seeing man being one women and love her so much i really appreciate it and it had a good chemistry too
She's a normal woman who travelled to the past. A refreshing one from other short cdrama with amazing abilities of the FL. The ML is so gentle and understanding. The title of excellent in bed is not justified so much, they only have one sex scene. 😅 The best part about this cdrama is the loyalty of the ML. He only loves and marries the FL. So cute and dreamy. But we know in reality it's impossible to happen haha! Wish they have more lovey dovey scenes. Love the ending tho 🧡

ML was everything wrapped in one, he was loyal and smart …faithful and very loving 🥰 to FL .. love the fact that he was determined to have only one wife through out the drama.. and nothing or no one was going to change his mind .. He only wanted her…only loved her… only wanted to be married to her … 👏🏼 👏👏🏽👏🏻👏🏾👏👏🏼 🎊🎈 🎉 So refreshing to have a ML exhibit such fine characteristics.. after seeing so many dramas with ML’ cheating /abusive/ unloving and so unfaithful .. did my soul good to have writers ✍️ create a ML character we can celebrate 🎊.. I have also seen many dramas with great ML who are loving and respectful etc and this is just one more to add to the last .. yay for that .. FL I enjoyed her character as well .. Some Spoilers... I just hate the FL for her character. She doesn't have any good qualities. She already saw that her husband was so good to her and yet she still tried to poison him and almost betrayed him just to save her mother (who btw, disappeared after being saved. She's quite irrelevant yet was put there for the plot.) FL deserved the cold treatment. Hell, her husband is so kind to forgive her for not even trusting him. She's just a dumb dumb irritating heroine who always needed to be saved. Additionally, the ML also fell for the princess's trap which made me think these writers are the ones creating these scenes to make the characters look foolish or it's just to fit the plot situation so that the main characters will have an opportunity to have sex cause they're either too timid to do it or they just don't really like each other that much to do it. Moreover, in order to get rid of the scheming Aunt who favors the "childhood sweetheart" princess, they added another plot trap (which was not even mentioned in the beginning), wherein ML's mother was killed by her own sister (his Aunt). So the ML wasn't a prince at first but just got his title after he helped the next Emperor. I wonder what he was before? Anyways at least the ML is handsome...
