If she is taking feedback. The layout is perfect! I currently use the grided notebook as a planner, so I am definitely a minimalist planner. The only aspect I'm not a huge fan of is the cover. My fav covers have been the nature series with a second being the new artist series.
Yes, there’s more covers in the works! This was a beta test one. But the covers are different to avoid confusion with the other styles. But more covers are in the works for this interior style, so hang tight for those!

Thank you so much for doing this before your (very well deserved) vacation! I think the slimmer slim shady is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Can’t wait to see if/when we might get other covers. This is definitely next year’s layout for me though - just have to survive this one first!

Yes! That’s always a biggie for me. Because I don’t plan the way traditional teacher planners are laid out.
Ooo this looks perfect for me! I realized I have so many pages left in the one I bought last year because I was too minimalist for the minimalist 🙈 So I may wait a bit and use the pages I have, but hoping she sticks with making these and can’t wait for some more choices for covers 😍
I feel like this option is here to stay as she’s also planning on adding other cover options for it.

I like that it doesn't have the days written in. We school Friday-Monday due to my work schedule and I struggle to find a planner that doesn't have really small boxes for Saturday and Sunday. Thanks for the video

Thank you for all these reviews Arlene! I’m new to planners and ended up purchasing nature series big sister planner. I have 3 littles and plan to use it as my life planner not just for homeschool - I know you’ll say I’m crazy 😂
My question is: can you direct me to resources or “plan with me” type content that uses big sister planner? I’ve watched a few different videos but I feel very lost. How do I set this up? Totally get that it’s individual but I’m really stuck

Flair felt tip paper mate pens; yes or no for this planner?
You know, I constantly get asked about using Papermate Flair pens with this planner, and it's kind of funny because I've never actually been a Papermate Flair pen user. Not a single one in my arsenal! But it's starting to feel like the only pen missing from my collection. I guess it's time to bite the bullet and grab a set solely for the purpose of putting them to the test with the planner. From what I've observed in pen swatches and feedback from some users, I'd say approach with caution. They might be somewhat similar to the finer tips of EC markers or high-pigment brush pens. But since this question pops up so frequently, I suppose it's about time I fill that gap in my pen collection for the greater good! 😆

@@samanthasmorong7519 all the EC pens work nicely , for the EC markers, I would stick to the fine point pens I showed in my pen test on the other schoolnest video . Works really well and no bleed through.
Will there be new student planners coming out? Will they have new layouts and covers? I'm so stuck on which planner to choose so I have been patiently waiting to see this video and the student planners. X

I love these planners. I'm currently using last year's minimalist. My only complaint with all of them is being able to see the print through the pages...it drives me nuts. The paper needs to be at least 80gsm. I prefer the cream pages but I can live with white. I'm tempted to make my own this upcoming year with thicker paper.
I hear ya, but the 80 gsm paper typically comes with the luxury planners, like EC , Simplified etc at a premium price. This was meant as an affordable option for many. That being said, keep an eye out for her printables that will be coming in the future. May be a good option for you!
I love the no coil binding. But I kind of love the undated Erin condren layout more. But I hate the coil in it. 😂

I think this type Of weekly layout without the harsh boxes lines would be amazing in the Homeschool planners ! This is only thing that has me torn between this one and the minimalist 🤣😭
You can still use this for homeschool. There’s blank note pages that you can add in any homeschool specific spread you like.
Gah I love this planner so much BUT….i just cannot with the paper quality. I’m using the gorgeous minimalist this year but I just can’t get over the cheap/thin paper. 😞 I would pay several times more for her stuff for better quality. Sigh,
Unfortunately, that's the only option Amazon offers for printing (#55 paper). However, it's also what makes it an affordable option and possible for Megan to offer as a small business creator. The key is finding the right writing tool that you enjoy using and pairs well with approximately #55 paper. While it's not as thin as others, you can still explore different options. I understand your concern, but it's an affordable choice for those who can't or won't pay for luxury planners. For instance, my EC 80 lbs Mohawk paper starts at around $60. Perhaps one day, there will be an option for affordable printing with more luxurious paper, but that isn't feasible just yet.
Oh yes, I totally get all of that…I just wish there was a more expensive (better paper) option, bc I think her layouts are PERFECT!
