“Once DAF, always DAF!” I can say that I fell in love with the DAF a long time ago and remained in love. Proof that I have been repeatedly in the DAF factory in Eindhoven, participating in road shows in Romania two years in a row whenever they were organized. And I love the DAF still. Very, very good trucks. A remarkable evolution since then and up to now. Congratulations on the new truck! I love you❤👍
They are really nice. But now i want to see the lowest spec of each model. Those are the ones that us drivers will be driving. Since its cheaper for companies to lease or buy. Does it have parking AC ? In the summer the cabin can reach easily 50°C inside making sleeping impossible during the day. 220v converter does it have as well? Or at least the cables to connect one? The interior looks beautiful btw Obs: the size of the XG+ Should be a european standard, its time for europe laws put the driver confort and safety first. Edit: your super driver makes her truck her home 4 days a week. I make "mine" 25 days a month with a coworker , we need more space and confort. Ask any real driver or live in a truck to see if the things you guys do is enough or not. Thank you
I think it's not a manufacturer's fault if a company owner wants to buy regional spec trucks to be used in long distance haulage Also 25 days/month stuck in a truck? Does this even fit with EU' or UK rules anyway? If so, they should legalize American big rigs too
@@TheNathan951 i know its not the company fault. in EU as long it has 2 beds, you can put 2 drivers there for 21 days before they have to come home for at least 4 days rest and go back again for another 21 days. And my boss wich has more than 2000 trucks and 3800 drivers, will go always for the cheapest truck. At the moment i drive a 2020 DAF XF, and it doesnt even have a arm rest for the passenger side. Everything that he can cut he will, to have more profit and he does that because EU allows it. Once again i know its not DAF's fault. I wish there was american like trucks in EU as a standard for internacional driving.
The line of the 1987 DAF 95 up to the last XF was always visible; the “family-markings” are gone. The end of an era and the beginning of a new generation; I foresee a great future for this new DAF. Well done

And u can drive many combination trailers semi, B double, B triple, AB double till road train👍.

Finally this DAF looks like a real DAF, emphasizing its own design history more than did the DAF's of the last 3 decades. They have embedded some vintage-DAF design elements in their new trucks. You can recognize generations of characteristical DAFs from back in time, and yet it's a very modern design in its own right! Well done!!!

Honestly it’s been a long wait… but it worth it… all other European truck brands are using their old trucks with some facelifts and Daf is building a new one from scratch… I think the sales will explode and overcome all other brands… I’m a logistic manager and in my spare time I drive a few hours in Euro Truck Simulator 2… really looking forward to see how it “feels” to be behind the wheel in game… and really looking forward to see how it’s feeling to drive in real life! Thanks for being this positive about DAF, but the current DAF XF has started as the DAF 95 XF more than 25 years ago. There were not just facelifts, also technical innovations like fuel efficiency. Like all European brands, because building a new truck like every 5 years is economically impossible.

We won't know what the built quality and reliability will be like until drivers get hands on time in service, but I can honestly say as a Volvo man since 1988 going by this presentation. I think DAF have nailed it !

It has a look of the Scania and having just the two wipers takes away the traditional look of the XF, which i always loved. Nice truck though and spacious for those long nights out and tramping.
This is an excellent presentation! Those scenes with Ron Borsboom are great! 😄 The entire video is very well made and really interesting to watch! I've seen a few snapshot images before the release but the look definitely surprised me! I like it! The side door window is awesome! I also like the external locker - would be cool if that was accessible from the inside too! The interior is very well made and thought through! Great to have control via physical buttons at the steering wheel. I love the XG and XG+ models! Also great to see you working on electric and hydrogen powered vehicles. Personally I'd stick to Diesel but offering all 3 options is the best from a business point of view.
I really do hope there will be more powerful engines for sale as well instead of stopping at the 500 range engines. Also hope it isn't a partial renewal to the chassis (well over 35 year old design by now). Also I do hope I will manage to finally move from the hell i'm in now and start my journey to become a truck driver. I want to drive this truck so badly. Amazing job DAF! You made everyone think less of this new series and then blew us away with this amazingly well done job!
Trucks like Volvo or Scania with their 750+ engines are for another customer market, DAF is aiming at the bulk of the customers at everyday regular transportation solutions. Not the heavy-haul trucking market. DAF is aiming for efficient and comfortable trucks, which they are champions in by a longshot for a lot of years by now. A whole other segment in the market where Scania's and Volvo's arn't been used often. It's like compairing a Dodge Ram pick-up truck with a Volkswagen car..
You most likely won't be able to. I've heard it's illegal to own Euro trucks in America. Am not 100% sure though. Don't get me wrong. I would also love to see Euro trucks in America. They're smaller and more powerful out of the factory.
I would love a DAF XG+ here in the United States. Paccar Owns DAF and paccar brought the DAF CF series to the states for box trucks, branded them under KW, wish they'd do the same for the XG+.
First off they are going to be too heavy the normal load in the European Union is 48 US Tons 44 Metric Tons unlike the United States Canada 36 metric Tons 40 US Tons maximum load. Remember in the United States Canada these DAF Leyland Trucks becomes either a Peterbilt or Kenworth because DAF is part of PACCAR the parent company of Peterbilt and Kenworth since the 90s

Up to 200 000 km service interval is insane! The current models are up to 150 000 km and it's already hard to believe. Hopefully their cabin filters are better in this model, those already don't last long enough to survive the service interval.

Great new truck. I am anxious to try it out, especially the XG with is bigger dimensions. 22:18 "Intervals of up to 200.000 km for service". Is even 100.000 km between services a good practice? I really hope that sensors, with redundancy, measure the quality of the various oils and other parameters, in order to reduce the service intervals accordingly. Otherwise, reliability may get compromised. Cheers for the hard development work and "human" presentation. Love this more direct approach DAF have had over the years.

A very nice truck, although it is, as the new Iveco, a tribute to Scania's truck design.
Almost everyone go with the SCANIA looks in recent year, IVECO DAF HINO just named a few big one.

530 should do for most of the jobs. Specially with better aerodynamics then before.
DAF have never been power merchants so I doubt there will be anything above 530

Having the chance to drive a brand new CF 480, I say bravo DAF!
Up to 200 000 km service interval is insane! The current models are up to 150 000 km and it's already hard to believe. Hopefully their cabin filters are better in this model, those already don't last long enough to survive the service interval.
What about 18ton trucks? Are they getting all this updates?

am from philippines a very nice truck its amazing truck really admire it, very spacious and comportable to drive, so very very nice truck am dreaming one day i can drive a DAF truck a very nice truck , before i became a bus driver ,am a truck driver... More power to all the maket of DAF TRUCKS....

Is even 100.000 km between services a good practice?
I really hope that sensors, with redundancy, measure the quality of the various oils and other parameters, in order to reduce the service intervals accordingly.
Otherwise, reliability may get compromised.
