- Retro Jet D-ABYT Lufthansa Boeing 747-8i departs Paine Field on March 25th, 2015 in high winds for Frankfurt, Germany. Enjoy watching this beautiful 747 fire up her engines and leave the crowd with a beautiful tip of the wings as a way to say thanks for all those who've spent countless hours building the aircraft.

....I know My Father would have Loved to see this....R.I.P....He worked for LH back in the heydays.....When 747-100,200 were in flight...DC-10..A-310...A300...727...etc...

Yeah, i don't get why Lufthansa is going with this plain white fuselage, got rid of the gray belly, the cheatline and is only painting the rudder and tail cone blue. Its like they want it to look like a blue Qantas tail.

It's too bad that Delta and United will stop, if not already, flying the 747. Theirs will be going to the airplane storage lots.
That's such a beautiful plane oml don't get why airlines are trying to phase it out.

LUFTHANSA should fly to Auckland using the 747-8 and the 747-400 and the A340-600 . obviously going via LAX from Frankfurt & or Berlin as well
I also want Air New Zealand to Fly from Auckland Via LAX to Frankfurt and back via LAX to Auckland using the 777-300ER's

I know I date myself, but when I first started traveling in the military, I loved Lufthansa. The pilots left your stomach on the ground and got your butt in the air.
