The fact that Annette is the only Lion that Felix consistently wants to be around instead of them usually going and bothering him actually says a lot. He's comfortable around her, and my pancreas is dying from the sugar overload from their support chain.
Honestly, it's probably because that she isn't a bonehead like Sylvain, Ara Ara like Mercie, or a chivalrous dude like everyone else. After all, Felix isn't that upset about being around Bernie or Lysithea unless they're upsetting him by having panic attacks or feeding him cake he doesn't want.
Really, Annette just seems to be that calming presence for him. No complicated discussions about knights or family, just one small girl singing. Probably why he falls for her too.
Felix has a very dry sense of humor. He probably sees his own quips as just a logical counterpoint when he thinks that someone’s exaggerating. I’m kind of the same way; I can usually tell when somebody is joking or being sarcastic, but never know how to respond other than either pointing out the reality or just going along with it.
Actually, in the original Japanese form of the epilogue, it was not Annette’s begging that stopped Felix from leaving, it was “Annette’s tears”. She didn’t even need to actually ask and Felix stayed just because she cried!
@@tastymackerels I mean technically you could see the GD route as romantic as well as in the GD route Annette was the one who had convinced Felix to stay and teach in the monastery alongside with her, and quoting ‘It was said that the strict sword arts professor only ever smiled at a certain magic arts professor.’ So though there is no actual marriage there is still a sense of romantic love and to be honest I assume they would still get married afterwards probably!

At first, Felix appears not to get the lyrics, which prompts Annette to start crying and call him a jerk. Felix then stops her by revealing that he actually did get what the lyrics meant, and that he was testing how serious she was. He then surprises her by showing her a ring, and asks to marry her. Still crying, Annette happily accepts.
I’m kinda sad that we don’t get to see S-Ranks between other people. Just Byleth and whoever you choose. I guess it would have taken a year or two longer to program all of the possible endings, though.

I love how infatuated Felix is with Annette from the very beginning. It’s sweet since he comes off as an edgy asshole upon first impression. Their romance is so sweet. On a serious note, I also feel like their relationship is the best outcome for both of them. I feel like Annette is the only person in Blue Lions who understands Felix’s complicated relationship with his father and knighthood. Both of their fathers neglected them in order to prioritize Dimitri after the tragedy, and no one else in the Officer’s Academy grasps their emotions and goals. I can see them properly healing and growing together.
Here's why I am fond of this pairing. Annette is a very kind and independent woman, she is a very fierce individual. Felix can be rude but cares about other people, they appear as polar opposites, yet they have a lot in common and share a strong compatibility. Both value hard work above almost all else and believe in carrying on. In the first mission they are assigned where they take out bandits both have no issue with it, Annette commenting that she's growing strong and Felix saying it wasn't much of a challenge. The other blue lion students seemed to have to remind themselves that it had to be done. The big thing I want to point out is their fathers and the idea of knighthood. Felix has stated over the course of the game that he hates his father because of his opinion on knighthood. In the very end of the game they don't get any resolution to this, there is no compromise made on either side. However, with Annette we see her supports with her father grow and ultimately she and Gilbert were able to make up and compromise with each other. Knighthood for Gilbert means a lot to him but it is what caused Annette to live without her father for years and what caused the strain between Felix and Rodrigue. I love to believe in my head canon that Anette helps Felix overcome any lingering regrets he may have developed with his father and eventually help him come to terms in what Glenn and Rodrigue believed in, helping him achieve the compromise he wasn't able to with his father.
pre timeskip felix without his bun would be long hair that extends to the edges of his face, he just picked out a few bangs to hang on the front of his face and tied the rest into his bun. post timeskip without his short ponytail would be like a bowl cut but a bit longer and uneven top, with the back and sides of his head pretty much the same but the front and directly on top shorter and weirdly uneven towards the right of his hair, like the slope of 3/4 in math or something. Since the top of the head is shorter, that means since his ponytail is positioned towards the top of his head there would be shorter as well considering the hairs on the sides and back have to travel longer distances to get to the ponytail that the ones near the back of his head and on the top. Since the bangs on the front of his head aren't long enough to reach the ponytail he just lets them hang there and pushes one side up and to the other side. Can confirm the latter since I had almost his exact haircut for a while.

Yeah it’s vague but certainly not platonic. I think when it was mentioned that they “relocated to the officers academy” it meant that they were living together while working as teachers. Manuela and Hanneman (if they are paired) remained as teachers at the officers academy after they tied the knot. The same probably applied to this ending.

This was my first ever fire emblem game and I picked Black Eagles, but I loved the personalities that Annette and Felix gave off, so I took it upon myself to recruit them. Felix generally reminded me of myself in some ways and Annette was just adorable compared to everyone else. They remind me of a weird couple that you see in some cheesy romance movies. As I generally enjoyed having the two in my Crimson Flower and I loved their support conversations.
I think another reason Felix likes Annette is because she values the idea of hard work and doing her best, which is similar to his philosophy of constantly training and bettering himself.
Yknow as much as I dont like Felix, I really like this support and his interactions with Annette. It shows he's not all mean. Also that final support just makes me super happy when I listen to it lmao.

This was my first ever fire emblem game and I picked Black Eagles, but I loved the personalities that Annette and Felix gave off, so I took it upon myself to recruit them.
Felix generally reminded me of myself in some ways and Annette was just adorable compared to everyone else.
They remind me of a weird couple that you see in some cheesy romance movies. As I generally enjoyed having the two in my Crimson Flower and I loved their support conversations.
I think another reason Felix likes Annette is because she values the idea of hard work and doing her best, which is similar to his philosophy of constantly training and bettering himself.
This is the best support in the game and if you disagree with me you’re wrong
