I had a great experience on console as well. Started on Ps5 but moved to XBox for it’s Quality Mode and other higher visual settings (PS had a more limited back compat, not a console war post) and had an awesome time. Played through it half a dozen times since. Although back then it was a month into the new gen and not enough people had those consoles. So I can see why the response was the way it was. Game is polished now though and it really is a must play. So glad they didn’t abandone the IP and that we’re getting a sequel.

I was telling people in the comments to calm down.. relax.. they had the game in their hands even if it wasn't completely finished.. so just put it down and wait for the patch.. and you don't have to wait for another release date you already have it.. It'll get fixed or fixed enough and it'll be awesome. But modern adults seem to still be children with TikTok brain. "I want it now". The fact it was first person is what kept me from playing it until last month...I was bored and gave it a shot, now I have 200 hours and starting my 3rd playthrough, I did male V/nomad first, then male V again but different choices. Now I am doing female V/streetkid and I will probably do another play again after. We will never know what third person would of been but I feel first person was the right choice. The mechanics they were able to do with first person just wouldnt work in 3rd, and wouldnt be as impactful. 20 out of 10 game, love the world, love the story and god I wish we got another expansion. Instead they are making Cyberpunk 2 with an american dev team meaning itll be a lump of garbage. The story will be awful and I can guarentee they will ruin the aesthetic of the game. Luckily we will always have Cyberpunk 2077 with mods

yup. It'll be full of "diversity" and woke culture especially since it's being made in Boston. Unless the directors can reign them in and ensure that any "DEI requirements" get put in tastefully and not some bullshit integral part of the story. I'm hopeful but I will not be pre-ordering this game for the sole reason that it's developed in the U.S.... Lord willing we will get a cyberpunk making a name for themselves story and not a lets fight systemic oppression steaming lump of shit.
