Asia, it is beautiful that you are still surprised by the possibilities that Angelina offers. In my opinion, this phase from 10 to 13 years old is a phase of initial maturation of a great talent, but above all a moment of experimentation. She took a beautifully written but monotonous song in the original and put in a mesmerizing timbre and vocal resources throughout to keep the attention paid to the end. Genius thing.
I remember a successful reactor Adam Levigne, commenting that whilst this song 'doesn't go anywhere ' no opportunities to go high and its all 'monotone' , he identified that it takes a whole lot more skill to keep to the same tone and smoothness throughout the song and not become breathless or falter as BTD has alot of words . This song highlights Angelina's tremendous breath control ability and her use of vibrato to extract the full emotion out of this song.
All that talent and sweet intelligent and humble to. Such a sweet your lady and devoted to her Family. Bless her. Every song she puts her voice to takes on a new life a new sole and she can make you feel it with every word like a small boat on the ocean you feel every ripple wave and swell. Id Absolutely Love to hear here tackle some of the Big bad jazz sounds of the 40s and somthing like Vera Lynn's "we'll meet again". A song with so much mixed emotion and meaning because we all know how Angelina can make us Feel the music.

Your eyes don't bug out and your mouth doesn't fall open along with variations of WOW, HOW, and stuttering when she sings the first few notes.

Love the lower register on this song and I have got it on my Angelina playlist. Quincy Jones, I believe said that he has not seen a talent at this young age since Micheal Jackson. This song sealed the deal for me.
Think of her as a human chameleon. Whereas the lizard can change color to
match its surroundings, Angelina does it vocally to any form of vocals that
she desires. Her versatility has never been matched for as long as I've been
listening to music and I'm 75. Simply remarkable.

of age, her brain is able absorb ALL she has ever heard and is able to

whenever she decides to. To us 'mere mortals' this sounds an impossible
task, but to her it is child's play to accomplish. A top music expert at

Ok, this is the first time hearing this song. I have been following Angelina since she entered " Norway's Got Talent" , which she won. Thought I heard everything. She is a marvel and that cannot be denied. Love her and both your musical education, thanks for sharing.

When this first came out, some reactors were questioning that it was actually her singing, and just lipsyncing.
So after this vid, she started recording from the side and an angle so people can see easily that it is ANGELina who actually sings.
ok .. I've been hearing you say "how?" " how can she sound like that?" "how can that little girl .." etc..
You may not have read about her early life with her grandmother, who was a huge jazz fan and always played jazz. As the story goes .. and there is a video of 18-month-old Angelina trying to sing into a huge mic that she could barely hold .. I believe it was Billie singing in the background...
So .. this child would insist on her grandmother playing these songs over and over and from very very early she would stand by the speaker and try to copy the voice singing .. she would try and try and over and over .. with a discipline that blew her grandmother's mind but (let's not forget she was/is a famous artist in her own right so she knew about discipline and the value of repetition! ) she always helped Angelina and hung with her and let her follow her heart .. her desire to sound like Billie, like Etta .. men or women .. if she liked the sound she wanted to feel it on her throat and voice and hear it come out of her like that. It's my opinion that she was her own vocal coach .. with her grandmother, of course .. from very very early and because she liked many singers her voice got better every day.
now this was no ordinary child .. she was focused from the very start and would sing every moment anyone would let her.
So this isn't magical, this voice that we're all in love with .. this is hard work .. she was crazy focused and she developed her voice to sound like each of them and/or all of them ... and she did it super early so her voice and vocal chords were still very supple and flexible and she WORKED THEM every. single. day!
SO .... that is HOW .. not magic, not mystery ..hard work. What is mysterious is the passion she had at such an early age that she didn't think of it as work but as FUN .. what she wanted to do more than anything.
Remember when she went on The Talk and Rosie asked her what she did for fun and she answered very quickly and simply "I sing" .. it was y the simple and amazing truth. This girl SINGS.
So that's the way I see the story and I'm sticking to it.

It's so fascinating how she seems to be driven by the emotions of the lyrics and somehow finds the right voice, the right colors and flavors, etc. She just paints the song right before your eyes! Nice (surprised) reaction!!! :-)

Asia,BJ, you have to know by now Angelina has more than one voice..So next you both need to hear her differently, than ever. SONG FOR A! The first time l heard her sing this, l felt like l had lost my breath. Especially then did l realize, her greatest talent isn't her gorgeous breath control or low register, ( that l dearly love) but her almost, supernatural ability to transfer emotions. And all this from a 10 year old girl.
Her timbre is just soothing. She also seem to take good thought into phrasing every single line, both melodically and rhythmically.
Angelina embodies every song she sings, so her style changes with each song choice. She is truly amazing.

Angelina is always something special
Its like those great comedians that can impersonate any voice. She can sing in any voice at an elite level. To have that ability singing is unheard of. Its tough enough being a good singer in your voice but to be world class in any type of voice you choose. Shes the GOAT in my opinion and she hasnt even reached her peak yet. Shes just other worldly.

Angelina started taking after-school vocal lessons at age 4, plays 4 musical instruments also. Mother is an Iranian/Japanese artist, Father is Norwegian and uncle is a Jazz musician. I just learned about her a few days ago and just look how much information I was able to find without asking for help. Wowee
I'm as bewildered how such a mature voice is coming out of a young girls body. It's as if an older woman singer from the past who has been long gone has been reincarnated in Angelina's body.
The only Angelina performance that I like better than this one is her rendition of "I'm Still Holding Out For You," which she recorded as a demo just prior to her 11th birthday. All she had to work with was the lyrics and sheet music, which was given to her by the author of the song (BabyFuzz,) who at the time was shopping it around to see whether any artist with significantly greater fame wanted to buy the rights.

This is song without big belts or soaring high notes, the guardrails of the original are close together and the dynamic trajectory is fairly flat but with lots of lyrics. In this context, Angelina challenges herself (as she almost always does - especially at home) to exploit and magnify the different phrasing and limited vocal range opportunities, to relentlessly apply her skills in making it her own without taking any large deviations from the original, but rather with just intensity, agility, and richness of tone. She does, for her, a rare thing and speeds up the tempo a touch (requiring more precision) and simply delivers. She just does it better, one take, done. Another day behind the microphone for the world's best artist as she, without apology or hesitation, teaches herself to be better than she was yesterday. Pretty darn impressive!

When I first watched this video, before I knew about Angelina, I was convinced it was a gag. Her mouth is obscured by that mic filter so they could easily be dubbing in a recording. That's what I thought. There was no way that little girl was singing this!

Listen to the sample track she did for a song by Baby Fuzz "I'm Still Holding Out" which was leaked because Angelina realized the last verse was referencing suicidal tendencies, she promised never to sing it again unless Baby Fuzz allowed her to modify that verse. He did not, but he loved her rendition and said he was not upset about the track being leaked.

Mozart , Judy Garland , Shirley Temple , all these were child prodigies , if she continues to focus the potential is there to be one of the greatest singers of all times I think it will be most interesting to see how she develops by the time she's 25 and to see if she's been able to maintain this unbelievable focus on her dream.

When I first heard Lana Del Ray, like some of her songs, I thought it was ok, she has a odd way of expressing or delivering her music, sometimes strange but cool. When Angelina Jordan owned it, and lets not mix words here, she now owns this song! I could not believe how much better it could be, this is ridiculous, just ridiculous! Every performer should pray, she doesn't do one of their song's! What's worst is, No one can replicate Angelina's song's! The vocal effects she created in 7th Heaven and Million Miles are unknown. Try and duplicate what she did!
