It seems that the spread of faith, capitalism, and western culture has created "amalgams of death and mourning customs" while also decreasing the colonized's mental health to the point of increased suicide rates. But this also feels like it's just the tip of the iceberg in regards to this discussion.

One minor pronunciation correction - the country Lesotho is pronounced more like "Le-soo-too" Also, a fun fact that one of my old uni lecturers shared with me: In order to get vitamin C in their diet, the native people of Greenland eat the blubber of whales and seals. It was offered to him when he was visiting for research, and he had a REALLY hard time keeping it down!
