10 years living in Spain and I still can't get used to Spanish teenagers (although I'm a teen too) ...
Hi, after siesta you went to the pool for after school activity. Was that expensive? or something that school arranges?
I know Spanish but if I ever to go to any Spanish speaking country I will instantly ask for a English translator and get books in English and write things in English mostly... I'm Mexican

spanish people talk english like that we are bad as fuck🤣😅😂
@@naimaougali1846 True lmaoo
Naima Ougali actually, here in Spain we can talk better English. It’s because they are ashamed to speak better the English accent because they doesn’t want to be criticized so they make that horrible accent, but it’s only because we are ashamed :(

If you were in my school you'd be FAMOUS. here a lot of girls like asian guys
hahah how interesting xd
Bts, kpop.. xdd
TerbearTwo probably kpop fans
when you went at first, how did you establish your friend group? I feel like it would be hard to make friends when youre basically a mute American who cant understand a word of spanish
it's not as hard as it seems, they're all patient with your spanish and are willing to have you in the friend group nonetheless. you have to talk to people and try to appear like a nice addition and they will approach you and include you :D
+TerbearTwo so whar are your friends like?
i would say that about half of my friends are spanish, and the other half are other foreign exchange students from the same program. they're all very nice and it's just a super cool feeling to be able to say you have friends from other countries :) anything specific you'd like to know about them?
+TerbearTwo like, what kind of stuff are they into? and what do they do to pass the time, and just in general what are they like?
there are different people for everyone just like in the states, people with different interests.. a lot of my friends are musicians and play various instruments. we often just wander around madrid, have fun conversations, see movies :)
this represents spanish life in such an accurate way 😂😂 our dumbness is characterising hahaha (soy española)
Verdad 😂😂
Spanish ppl are really good looking. They're gorgeous and handsome ❤
Spain is beautiful
Congratsss!! This a typical Spanish teenager routine, I loved and it's remind me a lot to my teenager routine.
ALL Fanta in Spain is the best! It is way too sugary in the states.
+Evelyn CBG true
I didn't Know Fanta was different depending on the country
I love it how honest us (Spanish) are, we do nothing buT YEA
soy de españa tambieeeen y soy china... okay me hacia ilusion... :C
jajaja

Can you do a video about your overall experience (The company you used, adapting to the culture, learning the language, school work)? I am really interested in becoming a foreign exchange student in Spain! :) Was all your school work in Spanish? (And was it hard/easier/or the same to what you had in the states) Also was there any safety issues/worries? Sorry for all the questions, I'm really curious. But it would be fantastic if you made a long video answering everyone's questions!!:))
thank you for this comment!! i am actually planning on doing so! subscribe so you get notified bc it will be out as soon as possible
Duuuude, im Spanish, and I can confirm that ALL the public schools look EXACTLY THE SAME😂😂
Yo man that pizza wasn't ready

i loved this, i'm from Spain and i did sophomore year in Kansas City as an exchange student with AFS, this reminded me so much of my experience. i love your channel, good luck!
Okay. So I am studying Spanish relentlessly and have many Mexican friends that I met when I was there that I got to practice with and that I text with very frequently. It is definitely my second language. My pronunciation is good, but I am working on vocabulary. I can speak fractionally fluent with some, but that is with people clearly are trying to help me. Anyway, were you generally fluent before leaving or have you learned most from your experience there? Was the present language barrier difficult in terms of school work? I am looking at exchanging.
+Corbin Treadwell i knew very little spanish when i got here... you learn unbelievably fast once you talk in spanish all day, have classes in spanish, etc. don't worry about it, especially because you have a good foundation, you'll learn very quickly
when that guy screamed and said hola when the camera was on him, i felt that
Also, may I ask what was your level of fluency in Spanish before moving to Spain?
Holy fuck mate! I literally went to the same town as you and mid-way through the video I was like this actually looks like my town LMAO. 5 seconds later you say "Jorge Manrique" and I'm completely tripping. Great video, recognized some people aswell haha
Your so lucky I'm also 16 and I really wish I could do something like this 😭
Amazing vids. Well done! We really loved it.
How do you learn Spanish please reply. Because I'm in Spain. Also schooling.
I love this video! It really helps being able to see how it's like! How are you liking Spain?
HOLY SHIT THIS IS SO CRINGE
they just dont give a shit
Ix The Best why?😂
Hola! I'm interested in doing an exchange to Spain my Junior year of high school. My parents like the idea of me doing it but the cost is the only thing that's keeping me from doing it. I was just wondering how you raised enough money to do this and if you have any ideas on how I should raise money. Also what program are you doing this through? And is school there different than in the US?
+Sarah S hello! the cost really is a huge thing that can be hard... i made a go fund me page and asked for donations from friends and relatives but trying to pick up a job is really the best way to do it. if your parents can support about half of the cost, it shouldn't be too hard to raise/save/earn the rest yourself. i'm through a program called AFS which is one of the more expensive ones. school here is very different from the us but it's very cool to see how the learning environment is. you stay in one class and the teachers come to you. the tests are more important and there is almost no homework
This is so cute I miss you!!
+Emily Robles i miss you too love.
Bruh everybody in the comment is Spanish
I did live in Spain for 9 years but I won’t call myself Spanish cause I actually lived in Pakistan then moved to Spain then to uk and yeah now I’m in UK-
Spain is better than the UK. FACTS
Eyyyy si eso es TresCantos!! Y sale Jorge e Irene y demasiada gentee...XD XD
"sumo de pinia" well try 😂😂😂👍
I am going on exchange 2017-2018 and am trying to decide if I should include Spain on my list of countries I want to go to. Do you recommend it? I'm in Spanish two and understood most of the things the other students said without the subtitles help so language isn't a problem.
language is never a problem when you want to learn it anyways, so yes :D
Hey, I absolutely encourage you to come to Spain as an exchange student. I was in Michigan last year and the most important thing that I have to tell you is that high school here is much much harder. If you can you should go to the southern part (I live in Puerto Real, near Cádiz), because I have been all around Spain and the coast specially in the south is the most enjoyable part. The only problem in the south is the accent. If you need to ask me something I will do my best to help you.
My skype is jt.zanche in case that you need it.
Jtzanche Did you find highschool harder here in Spain? I thought here was easier. We do learn a lot of languages though. Here in Catalonia apart from the local languages wich are Spanish and Catalan we learn English and then you can choose between German, French and Latin.
Jtzanche que hiciste? junior, senior o sophomore year?
Junior
I'm in eighth grade and in 11th grade I want to do foreign exchange in Spain. I'm in Spanish one right now and I am in Spanish 2 next year, but I am worried I still won't be able to speak it that fast and fluent if/when I go...... Any tips?
The money is a huge obstacle for me, but I am hoping to, with a job (I turn fifteen in 2017) (10th grade) be able to raise money with a gofundme account, but I still need some tips on how to speak Spanish more fluently
+Emishz2thewierd ok well it's really good that you are already thinking about it so soon, i wish i had. with two years of spanish, you'll be more than okay. to improve i strongly recommend you simply try to watch spanish tv, spanish you tubers, movies dubbed in spanish or with subtitles in spanish, even if you can't understand, you will start improving very fast, i promise. the majority of us don't come with much knowledge of spanish anyway.
+TerbearTwo Okay, thanks for the tips!
I'm only prepared because I really wanted to go when I found out I could XD
But again, thank you!
@@emishz2thewierd428 Did you do the exchange?

if you do a foreign exchange program, would you have to do an extra year of school once you get back to your country? Like if I went to Japan or Spain for a year would I have to do my sophomore year in high school or would I still be able to be a junior?
it really depends on the country you're going to and ur us school. some schools will take credit from other countries (for example, i don't have to repeat) but some schools wont
where were you in spain?
They assigned you an entire book for homework?? Say what??
Kind sad to see that pizza it looked bad no offense lmao
How old are you?

This coming August, I’ll be leaving my country since I will also be an exchange student in Spain. I am supeeer scared about it. But I feel relieved when I saw this video since your friends there are so friendly and fun. :)
By Trizelle yes! I was very nervous at first, but the people were so great and welcoming
wow i remember I saw your first video in Spain a while ago! how long are you here for?? love your vids :)
Bruno Alhe i was there for 6 months! and thank you!! i'm subscribed to you too
Ah awesome! Hope u had a great time then :) hopefully I can visit the US someday!
just came across your videos, I did my exchange at UPV in Valencia last semester and it was incredible. seeing your experience is making me all nostalgic now; i miss those bocadillos de jamon lol

Hola, I was wondering do high schools in Madrid have the same subjects like they do in American schools? They are the following listed below,
Math
Spanish
Geography,History or government
Science
Extracurricular activities such as a foreign language (English or French), computer, art, or physical education?
I live in spain is was born in spain
The thing that i hate of spain that everyone judge's you they don't let you free the talk shit about you behind your back especially because I am black i got bullied argh when you walk on the streets everyone looks at you in an intimidating way
I’m from Texas but I would’ve loved to had the chance to go to school in Spain that shit looks so chill
What grade level are you in Terrence?
hi! so i really want to study abroad in Spain my senior year for a semester (im a sophomore now), and i was just wondering about the entire process of applying? how did you raise money and convince your parents to let you go? thanks (: also, this is a really cool vid
if you go through AFS. you can get a scholarship
I have a guestion im moving to spain next year and if i was new on high school and i dont now alot of spanish will they treat me the same as other kids and help me with my spanish?
However, I did read the comments and I'm gladly surprised that many US high school students wish to do foreign exchange in Spain.
Don't go to Lithuania as exchange student because schools are 60 years old
What old are you and how long did you stayed in spain??? I'm 16 y/o, i got one and a half year until graduating fron school and I want to study in Spain soooo badly!
