It’s very interesting to see what other types of measurement software exists for cmms. I’ve only been in quality for 3 short years. I learned a little about measureMax and recently we switched to PC-DMIS and now I’ve been learning a little about programming with it. Very curious to see what else exists out there and how they differ from each other
I’ve ran a little PC-DMIS, Starrett Apogee, old school Brown and Sharpe Validator (late 80’s), and now MCOSMOS. Nowadays most CMM’s have software that is somewhat similar. Just different places to click to do similar routines. I tell my students that if you learn CMM fundamentals, the software is just a different interface and you’ll be fine.
I’ve got a couple videos that show alignment. However they use the plane-line-line method. There’s many more methods available. I need to make some videos using the other ones.
In doing a little research it seems the TP20 is less expensive, more robust, and holds accuracy longer. The TP200 is more expensive, able to accurately measure tighter tolerances, but more delicate. So it would really depend on what you are measuring with regards to the pros and cons above.

Thank you for your video! How do you measure form tolerances? Thank you!
Please make more video on cmm
Can i measure surface roughness of a laser cut circle with a crysta apex s ? Please reply sir
What version of MCosmos do you have? Programming for 5 years now , if u have any questions just ask :)
Uzmanlık alanım çok sevdiğim bir cihazdır kolay gelsin her türlü programla ve ölçüm yapıyorum☺️☺️☺️

Good video.
thank you very much. please when you gone talk about alignments? I am starving for alignment. starved

I’ve looked for colleges around that area and haven’t found anyone offering training.
I’ll keep looking.
What model of Mitutoyo CMM are you using in your instructional video?
It’s a 7106 with the Crysta Apex software. 700mm X, 1000mm Y, 600mm Z
Please make a video on the topic of mcosmos calculator used.please explain in detail. I need this on urgent basis.please reply if possible
Hi what does the nemory mean in 7:39 ?
Which probe body is better? TP20 or TP200

12:40 - you never want to shank out. Never let a friend shank out.™
Which software is it sir
The CMM in the videos has the MCOSMOS software.
Hi we have new mitutoyo crystal apex v but we cant measure cone. Can u help me
Let me look into that. I haven’t really measured a lot of cone shapes before.
