Nice vid, cheers. They've started to drop onto some of the Lenovo online stores. UK site has added it the last day or so. Exciting times - time to finally say a sad farewell to my trusty W520
at last , 4k screen got 17"
So they're still building their top of the line laptops with plastic? :(
I know they have mil-spec internal metal framework but for this price, I expect premium materials like what a macbook pro, XPS or surface book have.
+FastRedPonyCar It is not plastic.
See specification sheets here:

They use glass-fiber reinforced plastics for the lid and palm rest and magnesium/aluminum for bottom base cover.
+ThinkScopes - Plastic is plastic. I dont' care what reinforcement they have, it FEELS cheap. My wife has a high end T450 and it feels like a cheap toy compared to my brother's macbook. It flexes, bends and creaks when pressure is applied.
Dell has stepped up their game with the new XPS systems. It's a shame Lenovo is still insisting on using plastic in their top of the line laptops.
+FastRedPonyCar A lot of it has to do with appeal to their current customer base. This is what the businesses want and personally it's what I want. Metal feels cold to the touch imo and the plastic/carbon/glass-fiber feel much more welcoming imo.
Release dates?
+N.I. They will be available next month (November 2015). Availability may vary in every country.
It needs a digitizer stylus like the P40. Please Lenovo, make the chassis that we need in R&D and Education.
I'm already in love with this machine! Have to save money to buy it.
+Tom Bauto It's a beast!
When will they get the message that nobody needs the number pad?

i dont need grammer
i use the number pad much in cad applications
I use the number pad quite often (financial)
