I don't know if anyone reads the short animated description, but the name of 'Mother' is Crucabena. I also like how she purposely wilt the Lumidouce Bell specifically because in lore, the flower represents parting and wish for reunion. Yeah, that woman is a witch indeed, and the fact her Vision/Delusion is Cryo makes it even worse 💀
I'm pretty sure mother's vision is hydro unless she specifically was using a hydro delusion ?
She is the original Arlecchino I mean the 4th.
Also, it seems that Clervie is Crucabena's biological daughter (according to Chinese voicelines).

@@jessicabowman7169, yes, you can also notice that Clervie was wearing a Lumidouce Bell necklace in the beggining, and later Crucabena says "I should have pruned this flower long ago, not waited till it wilts" while looking at a Lumidouce Bell. She was talking metaphorically about her daughter, that's why Arlecchino got so angry.
This Animated short was so PEAK.
And damn Arlecchino's backstory went so Hard and man the reason she's called "Father" really hits different now.
She broke the foundation of that building while mother was stuck, so mother can’t evade while falling and got cero’d point blank. There’s no escaping that
I was expecting more from the previous harbinger tho but prolly not all harbinger is as strong as childe tho he's the weakest they said...
@@elinamanansi5508maybe she was chosen not by her combat strength, but by other means that we don’t know. Also she was able to wield delusion in the fight, with the blue sword either cryo or hydro, or maybe the delusion is the blue flame.
The animation is great, and this makes Arlecchino more interesting as both a villain and an antihero for sure
Too villain, I don't want to play a psychopath. Wanted to get her, not sure anymore. She killed her best friend, what a monster.

The short animated can be said to explain quite a few things about Arlecchino, one of which is the reason why she becomes a good "father"
So it kinda confirms shes not a villain, or anti hero. Shes more of a character playing her part in making sure no child goes through what she experienced. Just sucks shes basically a tool for Tsaritsa in exchange for the childrens protection and safety. "No harbringer is evil, were all here for different motives and goals"

@@firby7341 Focalors play a dangerous game, but she did not solve core of the problem - she did not destroy Celestia or at least strike back in meaningful manner. She sacrifice her life in order to regain status que .But Celestia still could destroy Fontain at any point of time
You can actually visit the spot where she fought the first Knave, it was above the waterfalls of Mont Esus East
So, basically the House of Hearths used to be kinda like the Red Room in the marvel universe: a place where orphans are trained to become killers, but with the difference that in the end they must kill each other to nominate the "king", and Arlecchino was forced to kill her best friend. She then killed "mother" out of vengeance and was pardoned and nominated Knave.
She chooses for them to call her "father" to state the difference in running the HoH to "mother", so that her children will never again be forced to kill each other.

Yes some of her lore was known that she dethrone the last Arlecchino but it wasn't said why nor did it let us know if she died in the battle or lived. Wander being at her coronation for the Knave fits with his voiceline about her. Some of what the Tsaritsa says about her is fitting with Wander, and Childe. We now know she is roughly in her late teens or early 20's because npc said she hasn't held the title for that long. I believe the youngest members are Knave then Childe. The Captain who is mortal is also their which could give us a hint of his age since he's mortal. Roughly around mid to late 20's(Guess since we don't see his face could be a lot older, the word "Mortal" is hard to say what races fit into). We don't see the other members which could mean for a new harbingers coronation into the ranks they only need 3 of the 11 ranks, and Director himself. Last thing Tsaritsa herself can pick you to become a Harbinger, most of them in lore seemed to be picked up by Pierro.
If you notice the young blonde girl with the orange hairtie you can see her grave, the hairtie is wrapped around a dull sword at 3:06. You can also see other weapons that belong to the other kids.
Not last Arrlechino last Knave the 10th Harbinger . Arrlechino is her own personal name which has nothing to do with mother.
Allow me to tell you that All Harbingers are 100 plus in age and they dont age only Childe is human who will grow old and die. I don't think we should call Captain mortal anymore they all are inhumans.

The Captain is confirmed as a human, but there’s no confirmation on his live spawn. If Furina showed something is that humans living centuries without turning into monsters is not unheard of in Teyvat

Pink/Read-headed girl Clervie is actually the past Arlecchino's daughter! That's why they look alike. When Father Arlecchino asked "Do mothers usually fight with their daughter" she meant Clervie and her Mother. When Mother said she should have pruned the flower before it wilted and innocence and kindness are "useless" qualities were meant for Clervie since mother wanted Clervie to become King but she was too soft to become one.

LET'S DISCUSS ABOUT THE LORE OF THE GAME SAVY. So the house of the heart, they really had a mother, but she was killed by Peruere, which is the "Father" now, and the RUMORS about Arlecchino being cursed is TRUE. That's why probably her arms or her eyes are marked, (Probably her curse is from the Carmesin Moon, formed by the 3 sisters from Khaenri'ah, which we can read the history on the Book of Perinheri, you can buy it in Fontaine). MORE OVER, "Mother" was a Harbinger, and the OTHER RUMORS about one of the fatuis being dead IS TRUE NOW, and she was killed by Peruere, which is now serving Tsaritsa and Snezhnaya with a new name, "Knave".
This is why i hate hoyoverse lore they hide in in those books and just a minority will know about it like bruhhh..

She knows what it is TO BE A CHILD OF THE ORPHANAGE, she felt everything on her on skin! ARLE likes them so much that she even did something about the curse of Fontaine's waters. She even helped Navia with her people.
Wait did no body mention that Clervie is previous knave’s biological daughter?! It’s lost in the translation but it’s explicitly spoken in both CN and JP. Damn that just adds another level of evilness to the previous knave. Also Clervie was wearing the flower the previous welted as a necklace (I guess that’s a implicit clue)

People are wrong about arlecchino killing her friend which is false.
I have seen those scene multiple times in light novel.
She probably sacrificed herself by either stabbing herself or throwing herself to arlecchino's sword.
Alre had so many cuts but her friend has nothing except that stab, showing she wasn't fighting her.
Her friend also sacrificed herself that's why she said Sorry to her

Also that girl is probably daughter of Previous knave which makes "the mother" more cruel.

interestingly, at 3:14 we see that the House seems to be located below the Fontaine water plateau, so it's very possible that its located inside the new area in 4.6

That dismissive comment about "grotesque wilted flowers" was about Clervie and the other kids who didn't make the cut. Good riddance to that false "mother."
Its a stab at her own daughter. She does it again, when mentioning the emotions that she calls useless. She makes several remarks to make arlechino mad during this fight as she knows how close they were.
That could have been a whole movie.
I am sooooo happy they took the time to make an amazing trailer, that's one of the things that Honkai 3rd did well and I'm glad they're trying

After Watching that BackStory, It makes me feel wanting to pull more on her. 🔥
When it comes to lore, really I'm just confused. It's explicitly stated in Freminet's character stories that he was in the House under, let's call her the evil Arlecchino. But the short implied that every child at the House under evil Arlecchino was killed by Peruere. That kid at the end doesn't seem to be Freminet, who I initially thought it was, who'd just hidden to escape the carnage, because he has the wrong colour eyes. So how does this short fit with what we know from Freminet's lore?

It's his perspective on what he knows, but not the full picture
I'm not sure this short implied that all the children were killed - certainly Clervie and Orange girl died, but they were about the same age as Peruere. There's not really any sign that anyone else was there (other than the fallen spear, which could have been Clervie's weapon). It could have been a three-way fight.
The stuffed animal on the floor in the infirmary is a wild card - it could represent someone else being present, but I thought it might relate to the creepy doctor bat in the story book?
My guess is that Freminet was basically serving as a child assassin at this time when Teen Arlecchino killed Mother. The short implied that all of the kids that were in the same "class" as Arlecchino probably died in a battle royale to see who would be the strongest and "King" in the end. But there were probably also younger orphans working for the House of the Hearth at the time who weren't part of the bloodbath (because it would be pretty pointless to pit children against grown and longer trained teens when you're looking for the strongest)
I think only the children in Peruere's generation had to fight. Not all children in the House.

I wonder if the red-head girl apologised because she instigated the fight… I assume that all the children grew up brainwashed by the mother to believe they need to become king and therefore fight each other. Or for the very least believe that this is the way of life. Puerere questioned her mother’s ways when she had to tend for her friends wounds 😭😭😭

I think that their mother sent Clervie to kill Peruere. However, Clervie want Peruere to live, she still fought her with the intention to die.

So her "mother" i guess had a rule in the house of the hearth where all the children would be raised and once old enough they would fight to the death until one survived and took on the position as the head of the house? And then that person would find new children and raise them for the exact same thing. Continuing the cycle. But it seems Arlecchino made her own rules once she became the father.

Okay they had no right to go this hard for a 5 star by giving her a 7 minute anime short but this was amazing. We learned just enough about her past and what she did and while it does follow the same trope of it's a sad tragic back story like nearly every single character in this game, I can at least appreciate that this is with a character who we did meet with previously. That said I do hope that they keep up this momentum for the story arc we're gonna be getting in the next update as well as her own character quest because I don't think we would want another oh we have a great story arc but we have a shit character quest for the new character we're introducing. So yeah definitely drawing for brain wife and yes I'm still gonna call her that because I love my voice actor references lol.

she didn't kill her .. she sacrificed herself by making it look like Arlecchino killed her because if you look carefully in the window reflection Arlecchino's sword is drawn down meaning it was her friend's sword who stabbed herself then hugged Arlecchino .. that is why she said Sorry and Thank You.
