The previous Knave is so much like Cocolia in Honkai Impact 3rd: a morally dubious "mother" of an orphanage who does terrible things to her children. She didn't run the orphanage in Star Rail, but she's just as morally dubious, and Seele and Bronya in both games are hurt by their actions, just like Clervie and little Arlecchino. Neat little parallels.
tbf cocolia a little bit nicer in hi3rd. She is ambitious, cunning,l and in general not a good person, but she still cares about her children's lives. Emotional state - not so much.

(HI3 SPOILERS AHEAD!!!) But remember, in her first encounter with the trio, she kidnaps Mei, turns Bronya against her friends, and then kills Wendy. She's pretty bad in HI3, at least initially. But, yes, compared to the old Knave in Genshin, Cocolia was way less terrible

well to say that Cocolia is the same as Crucabena is a bit reach cause Cocolia has been brainwashed by the stellaron since she was young. anyone at that state can't and cannot be normal. we've seen the context from both Serval's companion quest where she said how Cocolia drastically changed and the conversation we had with Himeko when belobog ended. it claimed that cocolia is nowhere 'pure evil'. she loves her daughter, but bcs of the stellaron the love turned into an obsession of wanting Bronya to inherit her place. I don't think she's completely evil, just unfortunate that she ended up that way.

Nah, its even more messed up. Arlecchino didn't kill the girl. The girl killed herself in front of Arlecchino. We first see a blood stained sword through her, however, in the next few frames, we see arlecchino holding a sword through a reflection, and that sword doesn't have any blood in it. In fact, the lack of blood implies she didn't kill a single person in that fight. Its likely the pink haired girl killed everyone to then kill herself in front of Arlecchino.
