I really enjoyed listening to Lya Battle. What a lovely idea to take any and all rescued animals to live peacefully on a ranch. It sounds like a lot of work but also very rewarding. I'm looking forward to see her videos. This was great! Thanks Doc!
You‘re always so welcome Jana!! We can’t imagine how much work it is! more than thousand dogs, I‘m still amazed about this project, she has such a positive and strong energy. I’ve loved doing this podcast. Thank you for listening.
Dr Willen, Lya is an amazing woman, she does an awesome 👏 job. I’ve seen her rescue dogs videos in my eye doctor’s office while I was waiting and I could see how much love ❤️, work and effort goes into it. Dr Doug, thank you 🙏 for doing this, you’re really amazing, have a nice day doc.
That‘s sooo true. Thank you Emma! 🙏🏻 have a nice day.

Love this idea and that you are reaching out globally. Please save the animals and if you can't take on a stray or foster then please support local animals wherever you live. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
there is no time, no space. no private thoughts (course in miracles). What you do for one you do for all.
Thank you, a great message!
thank you, great support!
Thank you so much!!!
You're welcome! Thank you too!
I love animals with all my ❤
Exceptional woman on a mission!
The feed bill alone, OMG.
BUT all sure look like ONE HAPPY PACK. Rescues are a full-time job, as with any of Nature's children.
I feel that these animals are SO APPRECIATIVE of her and her husband & and crew, and it shows on their faces!
WONDERFUL SHOW, making more people aware, Thank you both.
Thank you, its hard to start a new project from scratch. I am determined to keep this going. Hopefully one episode per week.
What an amazing story. I couldn't imagine doing half of what she does. For people to come at her all the time is mind-blowing. She is so strong! Thank you for sharing her with us. ❤

My initial comment didn’t take apparently. This was a fantastic interview with Lya. She is a godsend! I was saddened by the story about the dog that was lit on fire. So disturbing. Thank you for sharing her story! 🙏🏾
I‘m sorry Jeff I didn‘t find your comment, and now I have the two of them. 😅 yes the story with the puppy was a tough one…I get tears in my eyes just thinking about it. Thanks for listening to lya and her story!
I love this woman, her dogs and her farm. Thanks for sharing this story!!
Our pleasure! Thanks so much Laura!
Such an interesting podcast Dr Doug .What a wonderful lady Lya is , if there were more people like yourselves in the world it would be a better place ! I have never heard of so many dogs living in one area like that , a remarkable feat of care and compassion. Dr Doug you would have your work cut out visiting all those dogs !!
I will check out Lya's website out after listening to this .
Thank you so much Elaine! Yes, check out their website! They also have a great instagram.
That was a great show, Doc. I have watched The Asher House dogs living somewhat the same style, but
Lee Asher only has a small fraction of the dogs on this ranch. She is a magician to pull this off. Wow! ❤
Yes he is a great guy too! My respect really goes to Lya and her project, what an amazing animal lover. Wish I could find some time and visit her farm and work on the dogs. Thanks Judith for listening and sharing🙏🏻.
My cat is a rescue that came to me as a kitten in my backyard! My mom's cat was a shelter cat, and our 3rd cat was a stray!
they know. they live their lives with you in a thank you.
that's perfect
Yes, the kitten definitely picked you!
She's a beautiful woman who knows how love is all about ❤❤❤
That‘s well said Phyllis! I totally agree. Thanks for sharing.
Woohoo doc, so glad I received this.

Hi Dr.Doug 👋
Hello there, Phyllis, thanks for your support.
Love this lady and her heart. Love your heart as well Doc. Have watched so many of your Animal Cracker videos. The one that touched me so much was Nugget's journey. Would enjoy seeing an update on her. Her owner's work is awesome. A friend of mine, who owns Yorkies, once made a statement...dog spelled backwards is god. Special connection???
Thanks for watching! Yes, that is no accident that Dog spelled backwards is God. Great point!
Wow, this was an amazing interview. Lya is a godsend! The story about the dog being lit on fire made me so angry. I know there are bad people out there but that is just cruel and diabolical. I applaud the work that she does and thank you for highlighting it for us to hear. 🙏🏾
Here you are ! Thank you Jeff. Made me angry too.
Great interview! This is 1 amazing woman! Look forward to an interview with Lee Asher.
Thank you gracelings! I appreciate it
Wonderful.

Excellent interview with another Angel Douglas 😇 This pulled the heart strings as I miss my boy a lot 😪
Hi Mark,
It warms my heart to know that you can watch this from where you live on the other side of the world! Thank you my friend.

im for grouping animals let horses be horses, dogs be dogs birds be birds but all beloved companions. i hope this segment goes mainstream.
Tbh... this has me pondering the very skewed cruelty in the world.
Like: With a dog, or most other animals: People usually ask the question: "Would they have an acceptable life?"
Like, if they are blind, deaf, chronic pain, all 4 limbs and tongue are missing. That's very much a "They wouldn't have a good existence..."
... Yet, if a kid has *all* the exact same things. It's instead "How long can we make them suffer?". Like, "Won't live past 5? So that means we have up to 4 years to inflict as much pain as possible?". I find that mindset extremely disturbing.
