"Just a few years ago, maybe a decade, we had developer after developer saying that people aren't ready for walkable communities, that the market wants suburban, two cars out front, two car garage...today it's just the opposite. Only 20% of people identify that that's something that is their dream. The other 80% we're not building for. They want walkable, they want livable, they want to know their neighbors, they want to feel watched over. They want all of the things that a walkable neighborhood is. So, it's not a matter of convincing people, it's a matter of preparing for what the market is already demanding."
