3 months into mine. I over did the hard putty and that caused a lot more sanding and the red stuff helps with leveling the cracks but some of its visible under the filler primer still so I'm gonna have to go back. The glue is absolutely perfect. Even the clamps he used worked great for me. I'm following the OG method of assembly from the 501st people which looks easier for me, but much respect to this content producer. Last thing, I did the slowest printing speed on my Bambu P1S and the printing was pretty smooth out of the gate. I think it's saved me lots of sanding
Thanks for making this. Been modeling for awhile and doing vfx but just got a 3D printer. Finally, making a short film and this video helped a lot. Ty =)
Wow whiteout the patience you have too have to do this. Awesome job it looks incredible.
So this explains why you’d disappeared for soooooo long. What a labour of love. And what a terrific result!
Latex catsuit underneath would have been interesting, but totally agree it'd be ripped in minutes
new video!!! It's been a while since I watched an amazing video like yours, and congratulations on the new look it's really beautiful! 😀😀😀
Well, you've convinced me to pay an extra couple hundred bucks to get a bigger printer. I'm not dealing with sanding all those extra joints!
Nice video! Thanks for keeping it real on how much sanding was involved..really makes one second guess if it is a project one would want to undertake. I can already feel the hand cramping up...
You’re really food at diy stuff, wow!
Also nice to see the suit in action and at events, even if only in video form ^^
Underrated video. Good stuff!
Welcome back :) Amazing work on the Armor
your trooper is so chill. tha cool storm trooper on tha block
Awesome work and entertaining video. Thanks!
Awesome work! Would love to have you take me prisoner in that. 😉
Great vid thanks and admire your finished suit.
Very cool that you met some of the 501st. I can’t believe it’s still going 25 years after I started the group with 3 other guys in 1997. Great job on the suit. SO. MUCH. SANDING.
are you Albin Johnson or Tom Crews?
So cool! Just “subbed” to your channel! Great content! Look forward to more!
So amazing work😍
Dam man you should look Into getting a DA sander with the foam pad
That sounds a lot like my Terra armor cosplay. But congrats on the print.
Wow! Mucho impressivo! ;-)
Your back!!!
Loved this video! You did great job!!! I can’t wait to see more from you! I would love to see you play VR in latex that’d be fun to watch!
Sad day you couldn't throw rubber underneath. It would've been so hot! I swear I've seen someone who has. Ah well, armor is armor, which is to say, still hot! X3 Great stuff as always! :)
You should have researched how they held the pieces together on the actual siut: More Welcrow, more straps.
Hello
In my case the wall thickness is much thinner than in your video. This makes it harder to stick.
When you printed the armour ans the helmet how did you manage to paint it all or what did you use ,because I love making starwars costumes and other props.
Your costume looks amazing, and im making one of my own I was wondering how many cans you used for the white paint?
Thanks!
I don't remember exactly how many cans I used. But I think it was 8 cans of primer, 10 to 12 of white paint, and 1 matte finish.
God I’ve missed you
Wondering if using 3D print to make a chastity belt 🤔🤔🤔
Думаю такая броня будет не менее прочной чем броня настоящих имперских солдат из непонятно какой галактики.
you better in rubber 😜
How would you recommend to go about figuring out the length of the armor? I need to print some shin armor and need to make sure the length is correct
I would highly recommend getting the dimensionsame from existing shin guards that are used in sports.
I think you will be taking orders soon, Right?
What slicer did you use?
Can you wear vinyl gloves more often
question.... what 3d printer software did you use?
You look like you could join the 501st legion.
Premium content
You forgot to clear coat it 🤦🏼
You shouldn’t fix the armour you should just leave it how it is because that makes a perfect storm trooper
4:31 omg the microplastics
Do you have glasses?
I love stormtroopers what I don’t like about them….they can’t aim for shit it’s funny yet annoying lmao.
i understand the point of the hobby but spending over 400 bucks on this you could have purchased from denovo the official suit for 600 bucks no work needed....
Can’t imagine he would have gotten the same satisfaction simply buying someone else’s creation
Two months into my own. Soooo much sanding. If I have anything to add, I'd say I wished I had spent more time cleaning up the glue and epoxy overages while wet. I'm having to use a metal file to get it down to flush. I will say my P1S on half speed printed very smooth, so the sanding is mostly from my screw ups. Fun hobby.
