Prada Carbon is arguably the best version of Dior Sauvage. I love the refined and smooth quality of it.
It is like the smooth version. They are so much alike.
Sauvage EDP is way better
@paw3lo87 I'm doubtful.....edt is good , parfum is good edp is kind of a middle ground but is useless.
That coal, soil and metallic notes gives it so much different character, would still wear this in 2023 any day, cant say the same about Sauvage.
It's really nice. The opening when worn out the shower gives me a obnoxious room suffocating cologne guy vibe but it dries down quick. The silage is great after 30 min

@@SoCalScents Seriously. You changed my whole outlook on that stuff. I was all about obnoxious announcement projection untill I stumbled across a guy that reeked of dior homme intense on the buss. Shit was horrible. I'll never allow myself to be known as the local cologne guy, it's so embarrassing.

@@jameshusband3392 I have Dior Homme Intense and I love it. It's just that the dude oversprayed like crazy. I'd say it's far from a safe blind buy. Get a sample first

This is a great scent. How many sprays do you usually go with for scents? And on clothes too or just skin? Or both?
Always mix skin and clothes. And just depends on the fragrance. This one I usually do 4-6 depending on what I’m doing and if I’m indoors or outdoors etc :)

It pulls some of the same levers as Dior Sauvage, but I would never confuse the two. Dior's Carbon is a little more interesting and "specific."
I'd argue the opposite because of the popularity of Dior Sauvage. If people know men's fragrances, they definitely know Dior Sauvage and Bleu de Chanel. Higher chance of smelling like every other guy wearing cologne.

Heads up dudes, I recently received Dossiers Lavender Fougere, which is their Carbon clone and to me it smells exactly the same. Performance might be a bit less though. They got Black Friday sales going on so I think I got the 50ml bottle for like $17.
Idk if it’s just my bottle but my cap is a little loose on my 3.4oz. Not the plastic cap that comes off, but the actual metal part on top. Nothing is leaking out though. Does anyone else have this problem on their bottle

I've never smelt Sauvage (or Carbon) on anyone where i live I recall you saying the same thing in the past. Is that still true today? So many ppl say Sauvage is played out.
I’ve smelled Sauvage on more people lately, but when I was in Texas I smelled it on everyone. So I guess it depends on where you live. I mainly use Sauvage to layer now.
Smells fantastic but confirmed with several people that it is a skin scent after 1-2 hours.
It’s definitely lighter, that’s why I always recommend skin & clothes. That way your sillage is still nice :)

This stuff has to be worn on skin honestly. A lot of the notes in this one are known to react wildly different on varying skin types. Obviously, every fragrance does this in some way, but Carbon has notes in all 3 stages that can do something either interesting me inviting or wacky depending on someone’s pH. Def have to sample it and put it on skin to make a decision on this one. Personally, I love this stuff.
Never gravitated towards this since it felt like a powdery, softer Sauvage. But I’ve moved on from Sauvage itself unless I’m layering.
Same. I use Sauvage as a layering only scent, but boy does it layer beautifully! I usually wear ocean edt when I’m drifting towards this on the shelf. Though I do think carbon smells great.
Just picked this up online as a 100ml with 20ml travel spray for about $20 less than the stand alone 100ml. It's a blind buy and awaiting the shipment. Can't wait for it. I want a somewhat spicy yet fresh fragrance, and this seems to fit that from what I've read and heard.

Skin scent after 1-2 hours hell no I get pretty good longevity out of it
It lasts on the skin. I'm not conflating projection with longevity. It's more intimate than Sauvage EDT.

It’s definitely more cuddly. But remember sillage is better than projection any day of the week. It’s always better to be discovered wearing a fragrance than announced

Sauvage is probably the most overrated fragrance in history lol this makes less spicy with a clean, fresh, and masculine twist
