I actually LOVE the idea of No screen, wish Leica would make more digicams with no screens.
Me too, it's truly a unique experience. In my opinion, they should make the Q Monochrom a screenless camera, the ultimate minimalist set up.

@@AskMOTT As well as TAKE the movie option away, if i want a movie cam i would get a go-pro or a Sony VIDEO dedicated camera. I love the NO screen as you save a bit of money and its like shooting film, except you only have to wait to get home to view your photos as apposed to waiting for the Lab. Heck i still shoot LF 4X5 and LOVE IT.
how about the Kravitz drifter, like lookin at stuff I can't afford, helps me sleep & dream!

Beautiful Store, was there in February and the staff are very helpful. Just one error in your video, you started on Canon cameras and shot them for many years. Only recently switched (2019) over to Leica which was a smart move.
Started w a Leica M6 actually in 2004 so no errors.

@@AskMOTT Exactly. They fall easily to the hand and work well. That equals a good camera. It is just that I find the fan boy chorus a bit grating. Not you, you are an honest reviewer, but there are those who blindly follow and preach at every opportunity.

@@AskMOTT thanks Justin. I try to visit each Leica showroom in each city I go to which has one, though only been in European ones. Prague has been the best so far and it’s a bit out of the way. Loved the Audi 60 camera. I have one of the limited edition 007 James Bond D-Lux 7 camera, which I do use alongside my M11 which is the best digital Leica I have used.
@@GrahamBridgemanClarke01 That's a cool combo, right on. My favorite has been the Leica Kyoto, such a cool spot, but Taiwan was nice too.
Thanks for doing these reviews, love to see exotic leica kits like these. A digital camera with no screen is the ideal camera body where digital does not impose or take control or interfere with the relationship a photographer is supposed to have with the subject. It eliminates that constant compulsive 'chipping' that we all do. again one can simply not look at the rear LCD or turn it off, but for me and others alike its more than that, its all about the looks of the body and feel. a beautiful ISO dial is the cherry on the cake. Wish the body was more thinner like the M10 or M3 bodies. I have this, after yrs of contemplating, I went for it, I was after that gorgeous lens, I have always been a 50mm shooter, 35mm is a good focal length to have, it lets you capture more and at the same time can be used for portraits too. I got mine used, but in excellent condition from my local leica store in 2019. The idea was to keep the lens and sell the body, but after using it, I fell in love, decided to keep the body. Stainless steel construction, that is unheard of, why would I not wanna keep something like that! Plus just the normal version of the lens is around $5K, I paid $9.5K for my copy. I attach a strap to the bottom to the tripod 1/4" threaded hole, the camera rests upside down on my chest but is super convinent as far as shooting, you don't have the straps on the side to worry about. These came out at $18K, later went down to $12K and very slowly sold out. Now the price has gone up again, which is expected as there are not many out there for sale. The shutter button and on-off switch are buttery smooth is something I noticed. ISO dial is nice and tech-tile. Love the clean barrel of the lens and that vented classic design shade is to die for. Luckly leica store Miami sells just the hood as a spare but the price is hefty at $385! I had seen a new in box pop up on ebay for $9K yrs back and bodies sell for $4k-$5k. When you use it, it will not make you a 'better photographer' in the sense like newer digital bodies do with state of the art AF, IS, amazing metering etc. It is not forgiving if you dont nail in your focus right. But it does take the 'doubt' out of your mind when taking images cause you can't preview! also since you can't preview, you just concentrate on your subject and think carefully about taking images, as if you are using a film body and trying to make every shot count. that satisfaction this body creates is very nice.

Found one in mint condition. Do sensors age and degrade overtime given its a 10 year old camera and i plan to use it everyday? Would it last me 10 more yeats? Thanks.

funny, if you walk around with one, people who dont know what it is, think its a vintage $10 film camera! they dont think twice about it being an expensive unit.
