Nice review TY also you sound really good singing and playing. I have the spruce top Oliver Jr. but the mahogany sounds a lot fuller. I noticed the same about their mahogany tops they seem a bit modified on the finish to the point it looks fake to me. I do recommend an Orangewood for anyone that wants a nice quality guitar but does not want to spend a lot of money. I think the guitar is very good quality for the price and the neck and fret board feel great unlike a lot of cheaper guitars. Also mine came with a very nice setup.
Yeah, mine is still feeling good...only problem I have is the pickup was not set up right apparently...the top 4 strings sound like they are completely separate from the high B and E which sound really hot/loud. So I've got to adjust that. Thanks Holly!
"But, it was cheap enough to try out" because the bulk of the manufacturing is performed in China where the average per capita income is under $13,000/year. Only final configuration and packaging in Los Angeles.
@@markolwick2223 Thank you. I verified your statement and you are absolutely correct. The average income in Indonesia is about $1,118/month ($13,400/year or $6.71/hour assuming a 2000 hour work year @ 40 hrs/wk x 50 wks). General production laborers at Taylor Guitars in El Cajon, CA earn about $26k/year or $13/hour. I personally don't mind buying imported goods, but I do get weary of hearing people both complain that the US wages are too low and jobs too hard to find AND they promote purchasing imported goods made at half the labor cost of domestic goods. I think the Orangewood Guitars are a great value and not everyone can pay for a Taylor.
My lefty Morgan plays like a dream...nearly as good in tonal qualities as a couple of larger Martins in the house....playability is superb. Tone, balance, resonance, construction quality, aesthetics....all very good...and coupled with price...a STEAL.
@@IRequireMedication agree. But I have kept 19 higher end electric guitars and only one CD acoustic … it’s that good. Reviews support the hyperbole … it’s good enough for the vast majority of non pro players.
@@lazvt8469 Saying it's good enough for the vast majority of non pro players is a lot different than saying it sounds better than your larger sized Martins. (Now I see that you edited it and added 'nearly as good') lol. I'd ask you which Martins you have, but at this point I really can't believe anything you say ')
Lalairu yes it is a pretty full sound. I think they’re full size body is actually the same price which I think does sound better, but I have not heard it in person yet
I think for the sound, color and price, I am fairly happy with it… But definitely not going to be the main guitar. If I were to get another one, I would go with the spruce as it would probably sound brighter

Thanks for the review mine is on the way.
Hey!! Nice voice, enjoyed the singing!!
Have a blessed day.
Roger Williams Good deal! Thanks so much! Let me know how it is after you get it👍
Sounds kinda like what you used to get from Monkey Ward outta the catalog. But she's pretty.
Monkey Ward? Not familiar🤔
The little thing on the inside is a moisture thingy to prevent moisture. You know? The one your supposed to eat. jk dont eat it.
JOSH PRANKS haha! That’s actually what I thought it was at first, but it ended up being the pickup wires😁
Love the City & Colour. Thanks for the review.
Thank you!
Not sure what happened to the end of the video🤷🏻♂️

Yeah, found that out as well… You can tell they are still cheaply made, but definitely better feel and construction than most guitars at this price.
They’re actually made in Indonesia.

@@GeorgeSagenWhat exactly is your point bald man?
I noticed the new oliver jr mahogany models look more natural without the dark lines. Yours looks cool but like you said doesnt look natural
Yeah, I love the look of mine… But always prefer authentic over dramatic haha
Terrific playing and I like your singing.
Thanks so much!
Nice new guitar love!😍🤗😘😘😘
Cindy Destriza Thanks babylove😘
Do you play with a band called Toad the Wet Sprocket?
Grew up listening to them and still love them😉

Awesome! I’m looking forward to trying some other ones. Thanks!
Riiiiight. Too hyperbolic to be believed
