Extra cheesy mac and cheese
• Extra Cheesy Baked Mac...
Southern candied yams ( with a secret ingredient!)
• Southern Baked Candied...
Fried Turkey Wings
• Easy FRIED TURKEY WING...
Ingredients
2 lb cleaned collard greens
2-3 lb smoked turkey leg
small onion diced
2 tsp mined garlic
Toney's Cajun seasoning
chicken maggi
better than boullion chicken 1 tsp
black pepper
cayenne pepper
garlic powder
* If you want your turkey leg to be falling off the bone then pressure cook with the water and boullion for 20 min. Release the pressure then follow the rest of the recipe. I don't pressure cook the turkey leg with the greens for 55 minutes because the greens would become mushy.
Instant Pot: amzn.to/2RJQztu
* Use seasoning to taste! It depends on how much greens you are making.

Girl yes! Love your recipe, it's the only way I make greens is in my pressure cooker. I love that your video was straight and to the point.
Folks sleep on the pressure cooker for collards. its so quick and easy and makes th tutkey tender.
Did you grow up with a granny that made you wash greens all the time? Granny's/Big Mommas don't play when it comes to washing greens. It's was like a ritual for my grandmother
no my granny was a pretty average cook hahahah I mean she did cook often, but it wasn't all of that lol. 😂 but greens have tons of dirty and need to be washed really well.
Mine too, aunts too!!!
I’m teaching my kids the importance of washing the greens. We found a caterpillar 🐛 in our salad the other day! Lol😂 At least you want see them in collards.
I’ve made this 4 times already & ALWAYS get compliments on it! 🙌🏽
Made this recipe today.....Food was slammin. I'll be using this recipe from here on out. Thanks Queen!!
I’ve had this recipe saved for a while. Just bought the ingredients and it’s currently cooking. I can’t wait. Trying to make a traditional southern barbecue today. 😊
My hubby said these were the best he has ever had!♡ thank you for the recipe!!!! It's🔥🔥🔥
Awesome! Thanks so much for letting me know. Blessings to both of you♥

20 mins is all you need for collards if you cook meat first
sure! modify the time to you liking!
That instant pot has been an amazing purchase I think is a must have makes cooking so much easier!!👍👍👍👍
yes i love it use it almost everyday
Thank u so much, greens came out bomb
I’ve never had collard greens before, but I’m definitely going to hang on to this recipe so I can try them. My husband grew up in the South, and I’m sure he’ll be into it. I’m off to find a big-ass turkey leg! 😀
collard greens are pure southern eaten! if he is from here he sure has had it atleast once or twice. if you have had kale, i would say they are in the same vein. except collard take longer to cook and are a bit more traditonal
I've made this 3 times now within a month smh 🤦🏽♀️ its so good. Thanks for sharing this super easy recipe!!!
I’m for sure going to try this soon.
30 minutes????? Oh I’m trying this tonight. I’ll be back! LoL
OMG!!!!!!! Eating it now - nothing less than DELICIOUS!!!! Thank you very much!!!!
I haven't used the frozen collard greens before but I will start now after watching this recipe. Look delicious.
i didnt use frozen i use prewashed and bagged. i think the cook time for the frozen would be less because the freezing will break down the collard greens a bit.
Thank you...mines came out perfect 👌
Looks delicious, I can't wait to try them!!
My collards are in the instant pot right now..... Definitely a new subbie 4Life!
Im sure you will love them!
I made these greens last night with Turkey neck. They were the best greens I’ve ever made! Thank you!
Now I can start using my Instapot. I am use to doing it on the stove so this is definitely a game changer. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful! I love my instant pot!
Thank you Camirra, this right here is straight from heaven!
You are so welcome! 💜
Ma’am!!! These were out of this world! I used turkey wings cus that’s all they had at the grocery store and did the extra 20 minute step. Once I opened the lid all I had to do was pull the bones out and stir - greens were perfect! And the added fat rendered from the wings made the juice extra savory. Thank you so much for this!
Ms Camirra, I just want to say thank you for sharing your gifts with us. Your recipes are not just amazing but they connect me to my grandmothers, both of whom were fabulous Southern cooks. They died before I could get all their recipes but with your channel and e-book, I feel like I am doing them proud! I hope you have a very blessed Thanksgiving holiday!
These were so simple and quick to make. They came out amazing, and as a first-time maker of greens, I will be making them again. 😋 Thanks for this recipe.
Thank u so much for sharing your recipe…I can’t wait to make it in my instant pot! Looks delicious!

Cammira I must thank you so very much for the tip on using Sal's Suds! It has changed my life. When it comes to eating raw vegetables I used to not eat raw broccoli because I could not get it clean and it always tasted dirty to me but now I love it. Thanks to you I use that stuff on all my vegetables and fruit. Again thank you so so so so so so so so so so so so so so much!
You are so welcome! I love sal suds and I'm glad you do too now!!

@@CamirrasKitchen my latest video with a review of Smithfield Chicken n BBQ in Morrisville is up now, in case you have time to watch! :)
I need an instapot!!!! 😫🤦🏾♀️
I love mine! use it almost everyday for 2 years!
I only have crock pot.
🤤🤤🤤
How long would you suggest leaving a “precooked” turkey leg in the instapot with can green beans ?
i wouldnt pressure cook canned green beans at all. they have already been pressure cooked by canning. they will desinergrate. i suggest pressure cooking just the turkey leg with broth and seasoning for 40 min. then add the canned green beans and simmer on saute mode for like 5 min. if too much broth, reduce on saute
Love ❤️ Collard Greens 🥬
I like my greens cooked down to the Gods (Lol). And my smoked turkey as well. I usually use my slow cooker. I will try it, in my instant pot for New years. But I'll probably cook it a little longer. Hopefully, they'll be good. Thx 4 the recipe.
You will love the instant pot method then. So much faster and you can cook it all the way down 🤣
@@CamirrasKitchenThx. Do you think, if I cook it a few minutes longer than you, that they'll come out to mushy?
@@MoDavI-sl7iy if its just 2 minutes longer probably not. but i personally wouldnt go like 10 minutes more or anything. it would be way too mushy im my opinion.
@@CamirrasKitchen okay. Thx. I'm a give it a go 4 New years... I'll let u know how it turned out.
I did mine, exactly like this yesterday, & they came out perfect! Thanks girl!
Amazing recipe looking delicious!
Thanks a lot
Hello! This sounds amazing! Where do you find those large turkey legs? I’m in Indiana.
walmart
Thanks hopefully it comes out as good as yours
OMG these are my arch nemesis. I love wilting down spinach, kale, and turnip green. I tried collards but, it wasn't pretty. Do you pressure them that long for the turkey to cook or because the greens? I have never bought an precursor before. Are they any younger than the clean yourself ones? I had them out once and they were delicious. If I could get them to come out like those I would be ecstatic 😁
the pressure cooking time is for both the turkey and the greens really. collard greens can be a little tough and take time to cook. so i like mine to be soft, but not falling apart mushy. so for me this cook time works well. if you are using very younger and tender collards I would reduce the cooking time. these are store bought ones, but if i was using young ones from my garden i would take like 5 min off the time. at the end of the day if they came out harder than i wanted, i would just turn on the sautee function and finish them off. BUT if you reduce the time you will need to pressure cook the turkey first like stated in the description box because the turkey, though cooked, will be a little tough.
The moment that turkey leg came on the scene I started smacking my lips LOL. Thank you because this is about to cut my green cooking time down significantly. 👍🏾
you are so welcome! trust it does! the instant pot is the way to go with this one!
Hi, how many quarts is your instant pot?
6 qt
LOVE collard greens but daughter is vegetarian. Still good without turkey?
Still great w/out turkey! I would sub in vegetable better than boullion b/c it has a nice flavor and use salted butter to add richness but still keep it vegetarian. Also for the smoked flavor a pinch of smoked paprika will do it!
They don't sell collard greens here. Would kale work?
yep! may need to reduce the cook time though. kale cooks quicker. try 15- 20 min pressure cook first. will taste great i make this with kale all the time
Is the InstaPot similar to a crockpot..?
No it the direct opposite. Instant pot speeds up cooking. You could do this recipe on a crockpot, but you would have to increase the cook time to about 2 hrs on high I think. Could take longer but start there
What size insta pot you have
6 qt
Did you wash the greens even though they said it was washed?
yes
Where did you get smoked turkey leg?
Walmart
Does the turkey leg already
Be cooked
yes its already smoked
@@CamirrasKitchen thanks I’m cooking this for thanksgiving
Delicious food thank you so much for sharing good job dear keep it up and please visit me too thanks
Thank for watching!
YOU WERE LUCKY TO FIND A NICE LEG. I GOT A PAK OF WINGS, PATHETIC
If I wanted to have the turkey meat fall off the bone, how much longer should I pressure cook it without the greens becoming mushy?
like I would pressure cook the turkey for 25 min. then quick release, and add the greens.
