- Texas and Texas State played the second game of a 2 game midweek series in the 2022 College Baseball Season.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I started making them with team logos on the left, and a game snapshot on the right, and I’ve gotten almost all of my video views with that style.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

I mean to be fair pretty much everyone who plays Texas does it, so it’s not really that epic. I mean the win was epic and good for them but people treat it like horns down triggers every Texas fan, and it does to some but not all. I kind of like it because it shows that it’s their “thing” and you’re turning it upside down. The only thing I hate about horns down was that it used to be used by rivals primarily, like OU, A&M, etc. Now I see games that don’t even feature Texas in it and they doing horns down. For them it may be cool and funny, but you’re just showing us that all Texas just needs to exist and there will be everyone doing horns down. It kind of seems like a living in your head rent free kind of thing, I mean I could be wrong but that’s just how I see it. Kind of brings the rivalry hype down at least for fans a little because Texas sees every team do it and not just their big rivals. Good win for Texas state tho👍🏻

These two schools are only a half hour apart, literally right down the highway from each other. This is probably the type of rivalry that could grow cause these kids played each other a lot in high school.

My favorite part of this video is that the longhorns players were just coming off a CWS appearance, went to a CWS later that year, and Texas state still celebrated winning a midweek game as if they won the world series themselves (even though they've never even won a regional) 😂 It never gets tiring being everybody's super bowl 🤘

Texas State is not a 'smaller school'. It's annual enrollment is 37,000+. It is a major university. San Marcos, TX is one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. It has a friggin spring fed river that starts and runs through the middle of it. It's everything that Austin used to be before the Californian invasion.

That 5th inning diving play in right field by Texas State saved 2 runs. Play of the game even though he didn't catch it.
Great play by the RF at 6:30 he kept the ball in front of him once he realized he wasn’t gonna be able to make the play, with the dive it kept runners tagging instead of instantly running bases

No hate but the texas catcher in the 3rd inning costs his team the game. Cannot have two passed balls with a runners on 3rd. Also this one is more on his teammates but he's gotta know where the ball is.
Idk what you’re talking about bc those are definitely wild pitches on account of the pitcher. It’s not easy to block a 90+mph fastball that gets spiked, nor is it easy to receive a fastball that is in the other batters box when you’re set up on the opposite side of the plate

When you’re #1 everyone gives you their best shot. This series sure did not disappoint. Texas will head to the CWS but I’m not sure where TxState ends up. They are a scrappy team that plays with a lot of passion. Thank you for the upload Wheels.
