thanks great video: I have a Myers lemon from Seed 2019, never blossomed just placed to a larger pot roots still l show on top, not worried, will be indoors for my NYC season, and under a grow light wrapped with a blanket for warmth as it will be near a window, I need to trim but rather not as I will lose 30% of the leaves by spring Watching your vid may make me grab a few branches and trim time for me to replenish with liquid fertilizer again thanks, any tip I guess was offered in trimming thanx again FISH Added not I did not want to be lazy So readjusted taken some potting mix out and lowered down some I am good and never will we get the spiders out as one was in there as I already soaped down with commercial goods safe for the lemon tree ( SMILES) just need to clip clip some stems will do one day

I have a lemon tree about 1 foot tall. Grows straight up. No branches. Where do I prune to make it get branches? Thank you.

Youve done a marvelous job on your citrus. I am so impressed with how tall they are, especially the VPL. I had to pink lemon trees and they were so bushy and i could never get them to look so standard. Did you start yours tall and straight or did you have to prune and train them?

Thanks! When I bought it the tree was already in a fairly decent bushy shape, so I've just maintained it over the years. But pruning will encourage the shoots to branch out and get a bit bushier

How did it go with the final aggresive pruning? Just wander how it sprang back to life?

Just fine - the tree responded really well to the pruning and has fruited like crazy the past couple years. After that initial heavier pruning to shape the Meyer lemon I haven't had to do much trimming at all.

Great video thanks for the helpful tips. I was recently gifted a key lime tree so i don't know much about citrus trees its about 4-5 feet tall N have it potted . I have a 4 inch branch on the graft line also only single leafs going up for first foot should i prune those ?

If it's on the graft line I would go ahead and prune it. There's a good chance that shoot came from the root stock below the graft...better safe than sorry. I have a key lime tree too, and I love it! The limes are delicious.

I have since repotted it into a bigger pot, which it desperately needed.
